[bad news; e-bikes] This is awful news, but good job to the Guardian for correctly assigning the actions to the rider (not to the inanimate object they were riding, as too often happens). #cycling
News headline: Australia news live: five-year-old seriously injured after being struck by an e-bike rider in Sydney.

"Trump's new AI website confirms he lost the 2020 election." I just don't care. Children are being deported, alone, without due process. People are being held in terrible conditions. Protesters are being shot. Protections are being eradicated. Wars are being waged. Elections undermined. Yes […]

Just walked past one of the ambient TVs at work that just plays loops of promo sizzle reels and had to double take to check that the reporter on screen wasn’t Philomena Cunk.

Out tonight seeing the kid in another show. She’s a guitarist but has been talked into filling in on the bass. Has never played bass before. I’m somewhat nervous on her behalf.

Australia to join Japan, Italy in deaths outpacing births
Australia is getting much older, and it is getting older faster than previously thought. But the major political parties are currently in a race to cut the greatest source of resilience against that trend: migration.

A bunch of websites I run now have Singapore as the top country for visitors and this curious pattern. I wonder where the bots live (and what time they're awake)? (This is from whatdoyousuggest.net — I can't imagine what the bots want with it, tbh.)

I continue to find normal words that are straight up missing from the macOS Dictionary.app. Unintuitively, the word unintuitive doesn't get a red underline even though it's not in the dictionary.
A search for the word 'unintuitive' with "No results"A screenshot of the composition of this post showing 'unintuitively' getting a red underline to suggest it's misspelled while 'unintuitive', despite being missing from the dictionary, is deemed fine.
