A pokemon trainer to the end, really. I suppose that at least, many of us inherited across the board. I have yet to be made aware of a single Silver who isn't a strong battler, and only one alternate sibling who isn't - though she was with a Team so it's only natural.

Precisely. It feels somehow wrong that their art left no proof. We speak of Vincent Van Gogh, of his struggles, of his art. He has gone down as a legend. His works hang in many museums... He survived in many ways beyond his suffering. These men were not afforded the same.

I'm glad that at least if that poor guy had to go through that, that his voice still exists. I wish they all still existed in some way. It feels somehow worse that not only did they have to suffer for such a terrible reason, but that their voices are literally forgotten. It feels somehow crueler.

They did, and I scolded them, but gently. Well, gently by my standards. Which is somewhat biting. But I made it clear my issue was with the fact that the act of making children into castrati was horrific, and how that differs a *great* deal from my personal choices, as I had agency.

They can be a little brash with their jokes. They thought "Oh well, these men were known to have beautiful and unique voices, AND they skipped puberty. Perfect reference!" Rest assured, my lack of puberty was my choice, and I had a party for my orchiectomy. I'm a nonbinary trans person.

It's almost alien to me hearing "we got father's temper" when both Giovannis I was familiar with were incredibly calm at all times. It took me a moment to recall that's not a universal trait. At any rate, even if you fight at the start, you might warm up over time.

I mean, it's safer in the sense that Rocket is only mildly active there but... Do you hail from a timeline where the League is not a national project? In the timeline I reside in, Tohjo, Hoenn, and Sinnoh are all under the Japanese League. Officials from one have jurisdiction in others, too.

For all its faults, the League is usually quick to give "rocket offspring" second chances. If you stay on the straight and narrow, and stay away from Rocket as much as possible, you should be fine. They may assign you community service, though, and keep a close eye for a while.

I sometimes find myself conflicted. On one hand, I am deeply angry at father, that he could not completely break off from Rocket, that I had to break off from him completely for my own sake... But on the other I feel as if I've done something wrong - many alternates would kill to have had him.

Grey - you'll see him around if you haven't already - joined Rocket proper for a time, and then left when his conscience became too much to ignore. He had made a deal with the League and everything. He had to cut contact first.

I admit, I'm not sure I'd be brave enough even now to do similar. I am no hero, even if I'm willing to protect what I love in whatever way I can. I think he would have been pleased to meet you. For all his faults, he loves all his children. He keeps his distance now due to Rocket.

Being that scared is only natural after growing up in Rocket, but I'd say you'd have even more of a reason. In my case, I was as far as I know, an only child. Then I slid into a nexus timeline, and was the youngest of the Silvers in Rocket.

My condolences. I was merely trained to be a cog in the machine, even if that cog is 'future leader', but I was blessedly not born with any weapon-worthy ability. That said, I can relate on not being allowed to smile at my pokemon. Though it was more "smiles should be tools".

Being able to spoil my pokemon without having to keep up appearances is a genuine joy. It is one I am glad that you, too, may experience. When I was seven, Archer saw me punished for hugging a pokemon I had befriended. Now I can hug dozens of pokemon whenever I want - including my friends'.

Breaking all associations with Rocket is perhaps the best thing to happen to me, even if it meant leaving behind people I love, because now I can sit in a pile of pokemon and pamper them to my heart's content, and there's no need for me to have a cold exterior where I treat them as tools.

Now that I have some level of League support, I'm able to have more pokemon than before. I feel like having two Champions and a Gym-Leader-To-Be in the same house is perhaps the best way to have an absolutely ridiculous amount of pokemon around at all times. I am content.

Oh, I should mention. On my Mewtube channel I announced I would be taking entries for a smash or pass. Somehow, despite all of the times I've mentioned I'm asexual and sex repulsed, people were deeply confused when every entry was some variation on 'pass'. Fools. All of them.

Training to take over the gym is, in fact, a lot of fun. That and starting online classes doesn't leave me much time for social media, but. I feel like I'm making progress. Goldie and Kotone are also incredibly supportive, as always.

Actually, I think one of the most noteworthy things about Jasmine accepting to take me on after I showed her my social media is that she actually understood when things were jokes, versus being serious. Which apparently is something people in my day to day life have a mediocre success rate at.
