I don't think we talk enough about the effect of art on us. I can see one drawing I really really like and I'll be happy for the rest of the day I'm not exaggerating. Your art makes someone feel that way. Your art makes someone happy. Your art helps someone get through the day.

Digital art of achilles and patroclus from the book "the song of achilles" by madelline miller. They're dressed in ancient greek white tunics, achilles is on patroclus' lap, who's seated on a stone under a shaded canopy of leaves, both are smiling each other and dappled in spring sunlight.

i like the stampede guy and his funny show where absolutely nothing bad ever happens #trigun

digital illustration of vash from trigun. he stands in the sandy foreground, smiling with a slightly sheepish expression as a rope is tied around the upper half of his body. the rope trail recedes into the background, where it ends up by meryl’s feet. she is waving up towards vash, and roberto and wolfwood stand poised behind her. in the far distance, the skyline of the city of july can be seen behind sand mounds.

Quiet down, Year 8 BlueSky Pro Tip (that I only just learned) Likes do NOT boost posts. There's no vanity algorithm. Like stuff, of course. But... The ONLY way more people see more content is if you Share/Repost it If you didn't know that either, then you know what to with this post 🫶🐒

The Observatory 🐋🌟

A digital painting of a large, round, glass observatory. Out the windows we see whale sharks and manta rays, covered in golden/orange star. In the foreground, a girl is seen painting the whale sharks, and a small orange dog looks up at the scene from the other side of the room

Hey Skyfolks! Just a reminder: there is no algorithm on Bsky, so us artists and creators rely heavily on RTs to get our work out there. If you see a post from an artist or creator that you like, please RT generously! It helps us a lot ❤️ Thank you!

I came across an outdated guide on image grid sizing crop/proportions for bsky earlier, and I felt it was important to create an updated version! Please use this new guide instead!

Up-to-date BlueSky Crop Aspect Ratio
Crop Sizes for Bluesky as of 18 Oct 2024

By default, single images are uncropped. If image is too tall (Exceeds the 1:2 aspect ratio) then it will be cropped. Single images that are too tall may be scaled down but aspect ratio is preserved

With two images, both of them share a square aspect ratio of 1:1

For three images, the first image is square (1:1) while the other two are half-squares (2:1)

And for 4 images, all of them are 3:2

I appreciate people coming in from twitter making another bad decision but id request yal make an effort to stay active here, legit just mirror posts to twitter here if you want to stay active in both it takes 5 seconds. This will not be the last shitty twitter choice that happens I promise.
