I know I've answered this elsewhere, but Mir was blinded by Zenos and forced to use Aethersight to see. While it does afford some measure of sight, it's nowhere near as good as the vision xe had before. Xe is able to (mostly) live normally, but some frustrations remain.

Mir's polycule has size differences (Mir is about 4'0) and age gaps (Zhloe is like 13 years younger than Mir). While all of Mir's partners like to cuddle, Yotsuyu is *clingy*. One might call her a bit possessive. It's really cute.

The complimentary breakfast at this hotel was definitely a breakfast of all time. I didn't know you could buy paper thin bacon. The eggs were alright. The sausage was weirdly dark. At first I thought it might have been burnt, but it tasted fine. At least it had good orange juice.

#xivwomenweek | #gposers | #wyrafic - Day 1 / 1.0 It is easy to try and flee the past, and more difficult to face it: Y'shtola and Minfilia make one final plea to whatever is left of Wyra's good nature. Ellipsus: ellipsus.com/read/uHzLALX... AO3: archiveofourown.org/works/93859271

"What do you wish out of this exchange, Wyra? An admittance of a guilty conscience?"

Infuriatingly, Wyra shrugs. "Dunno. Seems like your new little organization is one enough, isn't it? Gotta fix the panic from a world you couldn't save." He swirls his glass of rum in his hand.

"And that is what you're doing," the words in her mouth are dry and scathing, "saving it?"

The grin on Wyra's face is foreign and unsuited for her. "Oh, I have no pretenses of bein' anyone's hero."

The letter that Y'shtola held onto felt hot in her pocket, fury bubbling and threatening to move from being a stone in her stomach and throat. Against her better judgment, she removes it from her pocket and slams it back down on the table in front of him, as if to now prove a point.

Maybe this was her last hope.

Y'shtola stands with her arms crossed as Wyra lounges smugly on a couch behind her just ever so slightly out of focus, surrounded by two red-headed women and one brunette. Y'shtola appears annoyed with whatever Wyra is saying.

Minfilia smiles slightly to herself as she looks over a wax seal on a letter at her desk in the Waking Sands, slightly illuminated by candlelight.

Wyra sits with her head in her hand as she slumps over in her chair in her Captain's Quarters, tired of the decisions she has made, and worried she will regret the one she will.

Mir can have little a toxic masculinity, as a treat.

Yotsuyu: If it bothers you so much to solely use aethersight to see, why not ask if Alexandria has some kind of technology that could give you your sight back?

Mir: It serves as a constant reminder that I must never let myself be lost to rage again. Next time it could cost me so much more.

Yotsuyu: There won't be a next time. You have the Scions and the tribe all more than willing to jump in and help you.

Mir: Tsuki nearly dying to Zenos hurt me more than losing my sight ever could. If another one of you got hurt because I couldn't stop it...I don't know what I would do. How could I call myself the Warrior of Light if I can't even keep those closest to me safe? What kind of husband am I if I can't keep you from harm?

Yotsuyu flicks Mir's head.

Mir: Ow! What was that for?

Yotsuyu: Do you think us all powerless to defend ourselves?

Mir: That's not what I—

Yotsuyu: But that's exactly what it sounds like. You may be the most powerful person on this star, but you are not the only powerful person on it. Stop treating us like liabilities that need to be protected.

Mir: But—

Yotsuyu: Why the hells did you and Amaterasu give Kebbe those phoenix powers if you were going to freak out at the idea of her getting hurt? Do you think we rush to your side without knowing what could happen?

Mir: No...

Yotsuyu: Then stop beating yourself up when one of us gets hurt. You're only one woman. You can't be everywhere and protect everyone all at once. We knew the risks. Shtola has known them longer than anyone else. From what she's told me, she has no regrets rushing in to protect Lyse. Hells, that new robe of hers even shows off the scar. I'd put money on her being proud of it.
