Old Moon's a strong partner for my first book. It's the grimmest, most furious book about pluralism you'll read this year. Even if you've read other Walks-like-a-Rockslide stories, get ready for something new and weird GRAPPLING with the COLOSSAL threats of our time, with hand-painted cover art.

Rereading the old testament after studying bronze age Mesopotamia makes Christianity look really ... naïve. I'm currently reading the Orthodox Study Bible, and the notes all seem to come from a place of complete illiteracy in the texts's genre and ignorance of its cultural and historical context.

To my TTRPG-lovers: I want to record a solo-RPG actual play for YouTube, and adapt it as a novel or series of short stories. Assuming you watch TTRPG actual plays, which system would you be most interested in? A) Dungeons & Dragons 5e B) Mythras #actualplay #solorpg #mythicgme #dnd #mythras

Speaking of books, I picked up A Crow Named Torment by @silasabischoff.bsky.social up from Amazon for less than 4 quids. About 25% in and I'm really enjoying it so far. Like, who doesn't love a good tale about Crow?

I'm playing around with an idea: A solo roleplaying actual play on YouTube (similar to "Me, Myself & Die"), but the intent is to create a publishable Sword & Sorcery serial in proper prose. And at the beginning and end of sessions, I read scenes I've written based on the events of the game. 🤔

Picked up The Blacktongue Thief by Christopher Buehlman and I'm enjoying it immensely. Reminds me of TTRPGs in a good way. Fun MC. Its close to the flavour of Sword & Sorcery I'm aiming for with my current WIP, so it's a good study, too. 😌⚔️

Tech is making good progress, which is awesome, but we really need to start expropriating the obscenely rich – in practice, not just theory – for it to work in our favour. Just sayin'. And work should be reduced to 5 hours a day, 3 days a week or something.

Has anyone played #BaldursGate3 in couch co-op with their partner since one of the recent patches and can tell me how companions work now? I would only want to play it with my wife if we get the full experience (each of our companions interjecting in all dialogues, acknowledging each other, etc.)

Praised be the moon. My wife I sacrificed. My sons I sacrificed. A thousand sheep I gave to Sîn, great lamp of the gods. In the end, I gave him my king and all the city. I etch these words of warning upon my grave: Those beloved by the moon, it will not let go. Begone, wanderer, 'ere the sun is set.

Currently reading the Sophus Helle translation of Gilgameš, and I gotta say – for all the ancient Babylonians' achievements in mathematics and such – are we sure they got this dude's measurements right? 🤔
Excerpt of the epic of Gilgamesh with the following circled in red:
"He was a giant in height, eighteen feet tall, and his chest was six feet broad. His feet were five feet long, and twice that his leg, and the length of his stride was the same. His beard, too, was five feet long."Drawing of Gilgamesh with proportions faithful to his description.
