I agree; however, a great therapist (yes, they are hard to find) meds, and finding outlets such as exercise and hobbies has helped me tremendously. I have down days, but I force myself to get out and try new things even when it’s the last thing I want to do. 💃🏻

Please don’t. I have dysthymia and have managed to keep it in check thanks to therapy, meds, and exercise; cycling, skiing and kayaking. I hope you have kind friends and a great therapist who support you. It made all the difference for me. ❤️

My neighbor’s BF had five DUI’s A Brown County Judge finally sentenced him to several years. He spent two or three months at Dodge, six more months in rehab at Stanley, and is now out with a monitor. Thankfully, they moved to northern WI so he’s no longer a menace here.

Speaking of #MedUMich & #InadequateStaffing - I cleaned the bathroom between my room and another after being admitted for a post-surgical #StaphInfection in *2005.* Numerous biohazards including blood & urine. I did this while waiting for someone to insert my IV for Vanco. #Ironic

Exactly. I go out every week to an Osman, WI bar to hear my high school pal, who is 73 & a Grammy-winning keyboardist (2020), play the blues with a variety of phenomenal musicians. Their percussionist is 57/58 - the youngest in the group. #SmilingMoose

Medicare only pays for one A1C test/year after you are diagnosed with pre diabetes. What’s the point of changing diet and lifestyle in an effort to reverse the trend when you can’t measure the successes of your efforts? Effective disease management should be the goal of providers and insurers. Duh!
