Open Source Contributors Visibility! On your profile, go to Involvements > Open Source > Add. Then link your involvement to the company (like @npmx.dev in the below example) and you will also automagically show up there as a contributor

Since this week we do show a timeline of what your network is doing elsewhere on the open social web (e.g. any other atproto app, or any app they connect themselves like Github, ORCID or even RSS). That way your network can still see what you;re up to, but without you making performatice poasts

Yeah my idea was to maybe copy/use something similar we have now with the ability to select a "Primary" position in Career (when you have multiple "current" options). Could extend that to other sections as well, then have that one show in the highlights. Does that make sense?

We noticed that a couple of Sifa users listed their investments but chugged them into the "Career" section. So we created a dedicated "Investments" section for you to add them, see screenshot below. As with any section on Sifa: it's optional and not showing on your public profile if empty.

If you select a company/organization but the name is wrong (most likely scenario is that the caPItalizATion is off): you can now request a review and suggest the revised name. 1) open the edit dialogue that contains the wrong name 2) click "Suggest a name correction" 3) fill out your suggestion

Hah, yeah it's quite the challenge to fit a wide range of "experiences" into neat little boxes that fit everyone... Having said that: I myself have added these into the "More > Volunteering" section. That should fit the purpose quite well I think?

AT Protocol already supports "website" and "pronouns" for a while now, but the bsky app didn't expose them yet, making it a bit harder to set them in a GUI. But @mu.social does! And when you enter data there, these official fields will of course also show up on your Sifa ID 💪

And it's not "just because EU": It's simply faster for most users :)

Table titled "Same event, both firehoses, which reaches us first? (measured from our EU server)." It compares two AT Protocol firehoses, Eurosky and Bluesky, across two event types: likes and posts. Events matched on both streams: 8,603 likes and 1,579 posts. Eurosky arrived first for 68.9% of likes and 63.7% of posts. Bluesky arrived first for 31.1% of likes and 36.3% of posts. Median time Eurosky was sooner: 43ms for likes, 42ms for posts. Footnote: measured on the global firehose, which skews US; Sifa's users are 46% on EU PDSes, so the real-world lead is larger.

Sifa now reads
its firehose from Eurosky's jetstream first, with microcosm and Bluesky
as fallbacks.

Keeps our event ingest on independent EU infrastructure, with no single
