So, Elmo and his goons have taken over the USAID and are raiding its information. That's illegal, clearly. But for something to happen about it the FBI Director needs to authorise a raid and investigation. The current interim director apparently isn't, and the nominated director certainly won't.

Thinking about red/green decks for MtG. In a standard 1v1 you're generally going to want hasty tramplers with +1/+1 counters, going for a quick win. But in a 4v4 Commander game you're probably going to want more of a long term plan, a few early blockers while you ramp up into some big dinos.

I have discovered that MtG Arena is very dangerous for me. They have shiny rewards for playing, and they have shiny rewards for completing quests, and you can use the shiny rewards to unlock new cards that you can use to play and complete quests. It all tickles my brain in a very addictive way.

Really glad I got Shinji and Asuka into their big argument in my fanfic. They both had a lot of simmering resentment going on and it was good to clear the air and give them a better understanding of each other. They're still not really friends yet, but they're getting there. Small steps.

Managed to write another 1400 words of my fnfic tonight. I was struggling to find a way to segue into the scene I had in mind so I just skipped the segue and went straight to the dialogue. I'll have to go back and fix it in the edit, but its still better than a blank page.

I called my bank to tell them I've been receiving someone else's bank mail (which I haven't opened for obv reasons). They told me that they can't make changes to someone else's account, fair enough, but also that they can't even make contact with that customer to inform them.

I love making sandwiches, they're a great cheap and filling semi-meal. But gosh bread goes mouldy so quickly, it really ruins my day when I grab the slices out and they have that white fluff on them.

The big problem I have with mundane activity games, eg: - House Flipper - Pressure Wash Sim - Viscera Clean-up Sim Is that after about an hour I realise I could have been using that time and focus to be doing *actual* mundane cleanup tasks around the house.

I was hankering for a tuna and mayo sandwich and since I can cosplay as an adult I bought groceries and made one. It was good, hit the spot, but needs improvement. Im thinking something green and crunchy for some texture variety. Cucumber slices and/or lettuce probably.

Helldivers 2 is really choppy right now. At first I was mad, then I realised its probably because a lot of new players probably got the game for Christmas and the servers are groaning under the new weight.

Okay, I'll say it: Prawns aren't good enough to justify the effort and risk in having them. Yes, their flavour and texture is nice. But for each and every one you have to shell it and clean it out, and then still run the chance it'll make you sick. I'll stick with the caesar salad, thank you.

So my retirement plan was always to build an eco cabin out in the woods, somewhere I could grow food and live mostly self-sufficiently. It's looking more and more like that's not an option anymore with climate change driving these catastrophic bushfires every year 🥺
