The City says 92 per cent of simple renovation permits clear in three days. In its own open data, 10.1 per cent of 2025's did. The two numbers can't be counting the same thing. We asked the City: sidestreetvancouver.ca/article/vanc...

Vancouver home permits are much faster than in 2022. A simple renovation went from a median of 51 days to 23. That's still far from the three-day target, and multiplex permits are getting slower. The City's own data: sidestreetvancouver.ca/article/vanc...

Davie Street, Jervis to Thurlow, is being rebuilt through spring 2028. Expect walking detours and moved bus stops. The City promises a more accessible street. How will shops get through the work? sidestreetvancouver.ca/article/davi...
