We attended the GALAs (LGBTQ+ awards) in Dublin last night. Dublin Bears were nominated in the Best Event category, didn’t win but we still had a blast. Met Anna from Traitors Ireland too!

I switched back to iOS last week and while I’m generally happier I do miss my minimal Home Screen from Android (Niagara launcher and Kwidget). Working on it using Widgey and Home Assistant. The text is dynamic based on various sensors and helpers, it’s not live but updates throughout the day.

First night with an air quality monitor in the bedroom... Oh dear. This is with two of us in the room and the windows slightly open; we regularly have Oran here too. Kinda wanna see how bad it gets with him here too before I try anything to mitigate it!

A graph from the CO2 sensor in our bedroom showing the levels last night. It quickly climbs above 1000ppm and within an hour are it's above 2000ppm and stays there. The peak level was around 2700ppm. There's a dip towards the end when Rob opened the en suite door, followed by a peak when we were fucking. 😜

A description of the effects of levels of CO2 concentration.

250-400ppm Normal background concentration in outdoor ambient air
400-1,000ppm Concentrations typical of occupied indoor spaces with good air exchange
1,000-2,000ppm Complaints of drowsiness and poor air.
2,000-5,000 ppm Headaches, sleepiness and stagnant, stale, stuffy air. Poor concentration, loss of attention, increased heart rate and slight nausea may also be present.
5,000 Workplace exposure limit (as 8-hour TWA) in most jurisdictions.
>40,000 ppm Exposure may lead to serious oxygen deprivation resulting in permanent brain damage, coma, even death.

We redecorated our bedroom recently. It's not totally finished, needs some pictures on the walls and a few bits for the final polish, but I really love it. It's quite dark even in the daylight, but I don't mind that. It's a bedroom, it's for resting in, and I find it really restful. 💚

Today is the last day of the scheduled #RVKBEAR stuff, a farewell brunch, a bunch of the bears went off to the Blue Lagoon but we decided to stay and explore Reykjavik since we haven't had much time in the city. Early start tomorrow, so a quiet night tonight I think. #RABOT

Today we went to the incredible Sky Lagoon just outside Reykjavik. Designed to sink into the landscape with black lava rocks and turf and moss on the roof, the heated infinity pool blends seamlessly into the ocean, with views of jagged volcanic peaks in the distance. Absolutely gorgeous spot!

Today was a tour of the Golden Circle; Thingvellir, Geysir and Gullfoss. Really interesting and fun, the tour guide was great, and we were so lucky with the weather, even if the sun made for some very squinty selfies. Disco nap now before tonight's "Tops Off" party. 😜 #RABOT #RVKBEAR

Picked a stupidly hot day to go hiking up Diamond Hill in Connemara, been wanting to do it for years and my mate dragged me up there yesterday. Incredible views from the top, and then we went for a dip in the Atlantic to cool off afterwards.

I think she played every track from Sexistential (it's a short album) and I honestly don't love the album but the live performances made a difference. A scattering of older stuff, a surprise visit from CMAT, and an epic finale in Dancing On My Own. She's an incredible performer.

Very basic but effective staging too, a scaffold with a grid of lights, a translucent screen, and some white fabric. The opening was so cool, she was silhouetted on the fabric and a light bar lit her so that it looked like she was moving side to side. There were some other cool lighting effects too.

I was at the opening night of the Sexistential tour last night, never seen Robyn live before and Jesus fucking Christ, she owned that stage! No dancers, no backing singers, just her and the band who were way in the background, and she just... Fucking ruled! Absolutely magnetic performance.

I think Maya disturbed a bee or wasp nest. We noticed her eye was swollen and assumed she had been stung once, but then the swelling went down and she's covered in bumps, all over her head and flanks and chest and legs. She seems fine thankfully, doesn't seem to be too bothered at all, but still. 😭
