like evan, i don't know if this dude was abusive or not. but i do struggle to uncritically absorb the accusations against him, especially with the victory lap headlines. are the claims accurate, or manufacturing of consent for his murder? i don't know yet. but the celebrations are rough to see.

California Post headline from September 29 reading "Slaughter In-law" in huge letters with smaller text reading "Grandparents took turns shooting dead trans NY Times spouse of their daughter." The headline avoids gendering him correctly and the play on words leans into misgendering him as a daughter-in-law.

haven't got a full suit yet but oh if i did... realistically, I'm going to redo the head now that i've got some more knowledge, but figuring out how to get a big openable eye in a more reasonably sized head is a challenge!

The head is built on an astronaut helmet but with colorful rings painted onto the visor like a rainbow striped eyeball, and there's a big open beak over the eyeball (and teal feathers). Otherwise, I'm wearing some 1970s styled clothes, including bellbottoms, and carrying a rainbow letterman jacket.

fun fact, i was a sculptor before a painter--but one professor was so intolerable that i swapped. she *hated* representational art. if my sculpture wasn't abstract, it was bad. i held my ground on this piece, she gave me a C on it. went on to win an award at the school art show. switched majors.

A sculpture that looks like headphones, only the part that goes over the ears are cupped hands, so it would cradle a head when worn. The hands are made of colorful wax.

honestly there's so many different ways to play around with bookbinding. I typically sew rather than staple or glue, largely because i've typically been a fan of kind of showing off the binding tbh. and it's easy to show off a sewn binding, or do weird things with it.

found a bag of like 20 patches for $2 and there are some absolute gems in here, it looks to all be early 70s, ones that have dates are between '71 and '73. not sure what to put these on, but couldn't pass em up. torn between whether I like the turtle or the guitar best.
