back in art school, i faced intense transphobia from multiple profs. school said nobody could be punished; they degraded, mistreated me as a trans man, so title IX said they'd done nothing wrong since that was neither my sex nor sexuality. i dropped out. i'd sure fucking hoped to see that improve.

In Pompeii they had blocks across the roads with slits to allow carts with only the correct wheel distance to pass. Ofc it was a proprietary distance, so people coming from far might have to rent a Pompeii-specific cart once in town. You can (still!) use them as stepping stones to cross the road!
