Mario 3 on the NES. I played the first two but 3 really got me hooked. Loved how incredibly much it expanded on the classic gameplay, and always seemed to hold new secrets each time I replayed. That feeling of endless discovery became the standard by which I gauge my enjoyment of every game since.

Trying to get help with ADHD is a fucking humiliating experience, because you don't know if a new PCP, psychiatrist, or therapist will even *believe it exists* until your appointment. DSM be damned, nobody can seem to agree whether it's a myth, a neurotype, a gut issue, or a lack of diet/exercise :/

I spoke too soon, lately the brain fog is lifting and I feel great. Now I can tell how badly having an unstable mood and low capacity to feel joy was affecting me. Before, it was hard to tell how much of it was depression or just my personality and it was easy to blame myself

It's only been a few days, maybe this can improve, but I don't think the medication is right for me. I've got more brain fog than I did before, and while I don't feel as on edge, now I can't rely on urgency to get things done. At least by the end of this month I can talk to someone about it

Update: saw my new primary care doctor today and I was taken seriously and put on some new medications, dietary restrictions etc. Now I gotta cancel my existing psych appt and wait until December for the one they want me to see instead. Sucks, but I get wanting see how I respond to this stuff first

No more vomiting from my cat lately and he’s returned to his full usual energy, it’s like nothing ever happened. We had to switch from the prescription food to a similar iams food, but it seems to be working well. Tbh I think this is my only veterinary experience that hasn’t resulted in tragedy

Thankfully my cat's still doing okay, but changing his food to the prescription one has been a nightmare lol. He likes it but it almost always causes vomiting, so we switched back to his old food and we're very gradually trying to reintroduce the new stuff

Dude I cannot fathom the generosity, it is CRAZY seeing 12% of such a huge bill already paid. With all these other problems going on I can't overstate how much of a relief that is. Lately I've learned: ask for help if you could use it, even if you don't think much will come of it. You never know!

Cat update!!! It’s now been 48 hours and he’s been resting & acting totally normal without any issues, aside from a little bit of incontinence. We also have him switched to his prescription food now. Thanks again to everyone that’s been helping, it means the world to us that he’s doing good again ☺️
