August brought a trip to SoCA then camping in far northern Maine. Loved the area of CA we were in. Wonderful, kind people, beautiful scenery, perfect weather and food. Went with 2 of my sisters to attend a family event. Will definitely be returning with my better half. Maine in a 2nd post.

I have guests coming in for the week. This is my first attempt at Spanakopita. I took the advice of a friend and used a quality, imported feta that was in brine. I also made peach cobbler muffins. The peaches are on the bottom and you flip them over to serve. More of a dessert than breakfast. 🍜 🍽

This week an estimated 40,000 Scots have taken over Boston for the World Cup. Kilts and the brogue are everywhere. They call themselves The Tartan Army. My better half feels like he's gone home! The bars and restaurants are filled. They'regreat tourists! #Scotland #TheWorldCup #SoMuchFun

Street in Boston semi-closed to put out tables and chairs for World Cup visitors. There are bagpipes being played everywhere.

Every bar in Boston is filled with Scotsmen singing and chanting. They're a lot of fun!

2 men in kilts and a 3rd in shorts. This is now our norm for the next week. All over the city. They're true soccer fane.

A very stormy day here yesterday. High winds brought down trees, limbs and leaves all day. A meteor exploded over northeast MA right in the middle of the storm. There was a loud explosion and the house shook for 5 - 10 seconds. I thought a tree had come down on the house. 😳

Patriots Day and The Boston Marathon. My nephew is running and the Sox should be in their Marathon unis; blue and yellow. The duckies are ready!

I went to a Mosaic workshop on Friday. I passed by The Old North Church which had 2 lanterns hanging in its steeple commemorating "two if by sea" 251 yrs ago. While at the workshop, I made this little bowl.
