How is it that I’m following 975 people but also get zero results and can’t unfollow? @pfrazee.com :(

My feed is completely broken. When I click who I’m following, it shows like 15 people out of 1000. I want to use this app but I can’t. Is there any way to fix this :(

Hezbollah, Hamas, Syria down, a few Houthis left on Iran’s side. It’s starting to look like a game of chess where all the pieces are captured and being setup for a checkmate. Iran is next. I am no fan of Netanyahu, but his foreign campaign seems to be working.

PlayStation is 30. Wipeout was a launch title. It showed off 3D, speed, attention to design, soundtrack by Underworld, Orbital, Prodigy, Chemical Brothers. Built by hackers. Featured in the movie Hackers. Promoted at Ministry of Sound. This story is worth hearing. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nwW...

In most cases, the job of UX is to compress and deliver information. Either to the user, or from the user. When we use this lens, it highlights the importance of using known patterns. Like a language of how people expect things to work, or what they are trying to convey.

Day 3 of trying to get my account not in broken state. Following count showing a handful of people. Seems to keep timing out

Feed is working semi reliably. Still can’t see the people I’m following, or unfollow those ghost people

@burrito.space do you know if there’s any way of doing groups atm? Programmatically. We are working on a Patreon style app and would love to make AT proto groups for them. Use access control for people who pay to join, etc. Do you know if there’s progress and we could collab with the effort?

@pfrazee.com my account is in a broken state where it shows following 992, but only returns ~10. What would be a good way to report this bug and get it fixed? I wouldn’t mind resetting the whole thing if it helps fix

I do wonder what the “flavor” of interactions is like here now that it’s no longer ~500 people into decentralized technology

It's always good to remind yourself that some people will go and rate Dune 1/10, or go to a video of people being happy and post some volatile response. Some people just thrive on agitation and reveling in the nods they get for being agitators. Whatever!

Hey @jay.bsky.team, is there a way for me to use my domain as my handle for a while, but also keep my bsky username? It looks like it's only one or the other rn. That said I tried to make another account with the old name after putting my domain and it said it's taken. What's your recommendation?

Thinking of building a super slick BlueSky client, and possibly host our own instance. Do you know who we can talk to to make that happen?

Fun fact: 600 posts is about 5 minutes of browsing. That's not enough to show ads or retain a user. No social app is supposed to be used for just 5 mins a day.

BlueSky has been booming this week. Really different vibe from the earlier days. Feels like people are posting daily and bringing their groups of friends. Feels less like a small crew and more like big community.

Today is all about designing. Working on our new music player. There is a boom in the music nft community at the moment, with hundreds of musicians trying to push music creation beyond just streaming tracks. It needs to support video, unlockables, letting people collect. Not just get plays.

Got to see Underworld and Boris Brejcha this weekend! The former was such an important part of techno history. They still perform with the same energy as 20 years ago. Wonderful set. The block party was fun and goofy and great too.

Trying to buy a used Mac Mini M1 or M2. It is a nightmare. The amount of SKUs named the same. People listing the specs wrong. Overall difficulty to assess meaningful differences (16gb 1tb 3 years ago vs 8gb now?). Really underwhelming experience.

Lack of web and Android clients got me thinking of ways to jailbreak iOS and use a Remote Desktop client to kinda control Bluesky from my other devices. Modern problems require modern solutions :)

Besides serving as a cool kids club, BlueSky is an important reminder that it’s possible to have a decentralized web (the so called “web3”) and not be tied to crypto. You don’t need tokenomics, just p2p, interoperability and open standards.
