I said this about making art before and I stand by it.

Important when making art:
1. Composition and balance. The sum matters more than the individual parts.
2. Silhouettes. You must be able to read the image from a distance.
3. Color palette. Few key colors.

Forget:
1. Correct anatomy
2. Perfect line work
3. Realism or some shit
