My variant for DC’s SANDMAN UNIVERSE Nightmare Country The Glass House. The Corinthian in the middle of a traditional Chinese poster layout, he’s grinning while holding up chopsticks with a siu mai to his eyeball to eat. The title is written in trad Chinese around him. A bloody eyeball, his sunglasses, a Chinese lantern and Flynn the cat are around him too.

Right in the centre of Strangehollow, there is a very small keep,
perched precariously atop a very tall hill, rising out above the
tops of the trees with views all the way to the distant mountains.
Although it has a front door, you will never see anyone enter or
leave. There have been rumours that the keep is merely just the
tip of the iceberg, that the hill itself has an elaborate maze of
rooms inside where the lonely wizard who lives there performs
his spells and...

A horned and almost entirely covered creature stands in the middle of the picture. Frayed layers flow around its body, kind of disintegrating as they move. A dark face with bright eyes is barely visible. Behind it, we see a stony and almost organic setting in mostly cool colours. In the bottom of the frame, we see a small character looking at the giant creature, standing on an organic-looking pathway.

A spiraling white & red composition of a mixture of rock and organic materials, with some sort of face in the middle, framed by the pit it lies in. The land's surface is scarred, dry and wrinkled, and the face looks as though it's twisting and sunken among a mass of fleshy strands. A small -in comparison- character approaches the pit from the bottom left corner.

Inside a rocky, collapsing cave, a party of three adventurers are facing a massive creature with countless tentacles and a huge mouth with teeth showing. The first adventurer is aiming and arrow towards the creature, their bow ready to shoot; another one, to the right, is leaping forward wielding two daggers; the third one, in the middle of the scene, was caught by one of the tentacles and is being held upside down.

A woman sleeps in a bed with an intricate metal headend, next to an open window. Her face shows anguish, and her hand grasps her sheets tightly. A large, blue and ghostly figure with long white hair and fiber-like layers covering its body stands next to the bed, grasping the headend with one of its hands. As the woman sleeps, the figure siphons a bright blueish and sinuous energy from her head.

Summer is nearly over and I had an eventful one. This is a painting I did years ago for a competition and my niece modeled for it. I hadn’t seen her in many years and it was a reminder how time is fleeting. ‘Frome Me to You’ Sumi and watercolor 2018 (I think)
