Thank you @trekcore.com for these photos! I didn't notice the Caitian (M'Ress?!), but I saw the Aurelian/Skorr and member of Sord's species and was so excited to see both in live action on #StarTrekSNW.

Credit to TrekCore.com

Five pictures are enclosed. Two of a yellow Aurelian or Skorr (a winged bird-like alien; they are wearing no uniform). One picture of a Caitian who looks MYSTERIOUSLY look M'Ress. Two last pictures of a reptilian-like alien in a Starfleet uniform who belongs to Sord's species.

Spoilers for #StrangeNewWorlds episode 410. Now that the episode has landed I can finally post this photo from my set visit last year. Flagging it as graphic in case anyone scrolls past accidentally. She looks great up close!

The answer to "why does everything suck now" almost ALWAYS goes back to "venture capital." Which goes back to "a lot of people have too much money and don't know what to do with it." Which goes back to: "We need to tax rich people more." It's like it's the solution to 99% of our problems!!

These guys would not listen to me, the form goes down into the gutter line, not where it is now. It took two other guys coming over to help to convince them to do it the correct way, to which I get a "You were right" when it was finally completed. Nearly every day it's this way.

Considering they bought up RightStuf (one of the oldest online anime stores), shut it down, absorbed it into their store, and then two years later, they are pulling this stunt. I think we should have the right to be upset.

My repost there, about Crunchyroll is doing. They are making it where you can only access their store with a $14 or $20/mo account. Crunchyroll bought out TheRightStuf, then closed it down after absorbing it, and now make it where you have to pay to access the store.

No party campaigned on age verification. Nobody the US voted for this. Nobody the EU voted for this. Nobody the UK voted for this. Nobody in Australia voted for this. Some don't even know it's happening. Meta lobbied for this and got their way within a few years. Let this radicalize you.

So, Texas has forced BlueSky to enable age verification. I did this via my social security number, which it only requires the last four. This is the unfortunate thing of the Republican surveillance state.

People love age-verification because they think it just affects kids. But kids don't have IDs. And there are prohibitions on collecting their data. It's the adults, not the kids, who have to submit a face scan, upload a government ID or provide other personally identifying information.

The house last night passed the kids online safety bill, however, the part that actually protects children, was removed. Now it's just a surveillance bill that requires you to present your ID for age verification for any website you go to.

It really seems as if the local furry scene in my town has completely died. They had a Telegram chat where everyone kept up with what was going on, and that was deleted without warning. Nearly 20 years of furry activity in this town is no more. (2007 until very early 2026)

I guess someone unfriending another is far easier than the person talking to the one they unfriended about their behaviors so that the person can know what they need to work on to fix the issue they had with them, rather than removing them as a friend and leaving them in the dark.

In this administration, making sure grants and loans that go to projects, don't include DEI in their planning is coding for "That funding better not help non-whites in any form or fashion". It'll eventually morph into being allowed to help "white and Christian only"

Just a heads up: Never use Wal-Mart's OnePay (aka Coastal Community Bank). Transfers between banks takes a whole week to clear. Ally Bank and Capital One take two days to clear. What is this, the early 2000's? Also OnePay doesn't give details on what a debit card transaction might have.

So, I tried planting Dahlias this year in hot humid Texas. I had several roots, one grew fairly tall, produced one flower and fell over as the flower opened, then once the flower was open, it died, the other two that never flowered, and weren't tall also died.
