Didn’t feel like fossil hunting today so I decided I don’t HAVE to hunt for fossils until I find a different target on shield … 219 encounters. 30 encounters done today. I am forced to fossil

Front page stream went really well! Sure, we didn’t find anything in the 6 hours we spent in the friend safari, but it was a blast! Also a surprising amount of people were unaware of twitch’s AI nonsense, so we helped a lot of people opt out of it 💪 Thank you to everyone who tuned in!

Twitch accepted my front page application and shortly afterwards pulled that AI nonsense 🙄 looking forward to hunting for wooper tomorrow with the occasional break to remind people to opt out of that stupidity YIPPEE!

I'd argue that, for the metrics, it's vastly MORE important that viewers turn this off. There's more viewers than streamers, so even if every streamer turned this off, if viewers don't, the executives can still claim that "most users don't care" and cram it down our throats even harder. Opt out.

Had a dream where shiny hunting was added as a category to the Pokémon World Championships and people were outraged cause it’s almost entirely luck based and the champion used the Fluttermane daytime spawn strat

Forgot to Pokéwalker Wednesday post but it’s still 11pm for me so it’s fiiine Not a lot of steps today for obvious injury reasons. But I’m happy I can get some steps in :)

Gonna keep my head up but man, it really hurts to start taking care of myself, just to end up having such a setback. I was proud of my 20k daily steps 😭 Physiotherapy, here I come! And I guess now I have more time to shiny hunt lmao

Gotta slow things down on the touching grass side of things cause for some reason 7 years after breaking it, my ankle is acting up in a new and special way :D so much clicking… I’m hoping it’s just a case of me overdoing it last week but worst-case scenario it could require surgery to fix. yayyy

Pokéwalker Wednesday :) I started this because I needed a way to force myself to go outside and get some steps in. You would not be able to convince me to go on a 20,000 step walk but if I can catch 3 pokemon and send them to my ds afterwards? Hell yeah baby sign me up

Shiny Catherine @shinycatherine.com · 29/07/2026

Safari week may have ended off with 3 fails in a row for me, but that balances out with finding my Gen 8 Wooper only a few minutes into stream! 2/9 generations done (and yes I might be doing a Gen 1 Wooper hunt. I will not elaborate)!

Shiny Catherine @shinycatherine.com · 27/07/2026

(Heart)Breaking news: the people who said going outside and exercising more will make you feel a lot better were right

Pokéwalker Wednesday!!! I’ve been doing most of my walking in the evenings and this pic is from this morning so small number for now, but man it feels good to be out in the sun. Except getting sunburnt that part sucks

Being a little vulnerable on here but it wasn’t even two years ago that I was struggling to get 1000 steps in daily. Mental health and its impacts on physical health are no joke. It feels silly but I’m so glad I can use my Pokémon obsession to motivate me to simply exist :)

Bummer of a day cause I had a lot of plans around this time that either fell through or I had to decline. And also booked some renovations for while I was supposed to be out. And now I’m not out :’D Ah well, stuff happens I’m also trapped in my room so Pokéwalker Wednesday is gonna be like… 2 steps
