Look at the culture. Specifically, religion and magic, and how it interacts with society. What impact do they have on the culture. Then look at adjoining cultures and decide how they interact.

Time C.A.T.S. is now up for sale at DriveThruRPG. Canadian special forces, time travel, killer robots, and dinosaurs. What's not to love?

Something that annoys me with 'future' science fiction. From the present to whatever year that future is set in, there is no art, no music, no *culture*. Sure, they'll reference Shakespeare, or Gilbert and Sullivan, or Sherlock Holmes, or what-have-you. But, a book from 2236? Never happened.

#atla #ttrpg Let's say you ran Avatar the Last Airbender (either using the actual rules, or d20, or whatever). PC is Aang, fighting Ozai. Tries to take Ozai's bending. If the PC fails the role, he's consumed instead. This is the final scene. Would you allow Aang to fail because of a bad die roll?

I have a friend in a bit of a bind. They have stuff in storage, and the person who was supposed to cover the storage fees ... didn't. And didn't tell them. And now they owe $1600 by the 19th, or they lose everything. Collectables. Furniture from their grandparents. Books. More. Can anyone help them?

4 days. 20 page RPG. Complete except for the art. This is for @drivethrurpg.com's #pocketquest. Time travel. So what's it about? You're part of a subgroup of JTF2 -- Canada's elite special forces unit. And you go through time to stop paradoxes.

You know what annoys us about a number of science fiction shows? "We're 200 years into the future, and all anyone discusses is 18th to 20th century stuff..." Apparently, nothing happened between now and whatever future that is.

So there's an app to tell you when smartglasses are nearby. Interesting. Thinking about this however, we're wondering: What's the difference between someone walking down the street with smart glasses, and someone walking down the street with, say, a camera connected to their smart phone? A go-pro?

How to fix the #ttrpg Palladium Engine. 1) All armour SDC has an AR (armour rating) as per Palladium Fantasy. This means that if your natural roll beats the AR, then the SDC of that armour is ignored (attack goes to personal SDC/hit points).

Question #DnD #TTRPG 1) Would you play Red Box D&D? 2) Would you accept '3d6 down the line' for attributes, no rerolls? 3) Would you accept rolled hit points, no rerolls? Would you accept that for 1e AD&D? 2e AD&D? 4) All that being said, if you said 'yes', would you still roleplay and get into it?
