If other Sonic characters were allowed to get spinoffs this is how I think they should play

Sonic - the guy who go fast. we already know how games like his play
Shadow - guy who also goes fast but slightly slower and has some combat-centric abilities to differentiate him from sonic
Tails - he can fly. flying platformer that would be easier for children
Knuckles - Spyro the dragon/Donkey Kong Bananza-esque collectathon because you glide and can punch shit
Amy - ok so imagine her gameplay from SA1 but it's more like using the shockwave hammer from Fortnite. that would be way cooler than just chucking tarot cards
Blaze - probably similar to Shadow/Sonic because for all intents and purposes she's a Sonic-like
Vector/the chaotix - Disco Elysium
Omega - Armored Core
Eggman - RTS/base builder where you command robots to do your bidding
Big the cat - Sega Bass Fishing. Big would be perfect for a cozy game actually

Civ 7 is free to try for a week, I had avoided it because the game had mixed reviews at launch. (Both civ 5 and 6 were lackluster at launch too). I ended up playing it for nearly 6 hours!!!! The game so far actually seems really good to me, but I'd need to play a few dozen hours more to judge it

Decided to replay Red Alert 3, I haven't played it in more than a decade but this series was part of my late childhood early tween years lol This game is so silly I love it, my favorite faction is surpise surpise, the Japanese, but Im going to play as the Soviets to honor the late Tim Curry

the argument for vibecoded recomps are silly. it took us 3 weeks to have unleashed recomp playable without using any Al. I coded xenonrecomp in like 2 weeks. the repetitive part where the Al can *potentially" save you time is actually the easiest part. making the game an actual PC port is way harder

90% of the 6 months of development time was spent on making the game into something people would actually want to play. which involved long discussions in the team about what features to add, how to implement them, profiling and optimizing everything, testing them, etc. Al ain't helping anyone here.

this work was NEVER repetitive. there was no time to potentially save with Al. it was constant series of unique problems to solve. all of which we solved and coded ourselves, so that we could maintain the code and take responsibility if some issues appeared from it. why risk further issues with Al?

it sucks that so many of these quick hackjob recomps are releasing, which don't do anything beyond getting the game running. that's not the point!! imagine if we released unleashed recomp like that?
good recomps are getting made. they are just not boasting about it. you'll know when you see them.

just wanted to rant. i'll probably delete these posts after a while since I'm trying not to use social media. but I'm really frustated by Al ruining everything.

Siiiigh vibe-coded recomps have come for my beloved Mischief Makers next. There's only one video up of it which doesn't show any of the 3D scenery stages, but the 3D rocks in the intro have broken textures. Emulation used to have that problem decades ago but it emulates perfect these days.
