Simple sketchy two-panel comic parodying the "No Playing Ball in the House" cold open scene from Malcolm in the Middle. Pyra and Shadowheart, in the outfits I recently drew them in, are leaning out of windows, tossing an American football to one another. TV show style subtitles have Pyra saying "This isn't even Brute-forcing myself out of art block" - the latter half of the sentence a crude screengrab of my exact words from a social media post pasted over the top. In the second panel, the subtitles have Shadowheart replying "That stopped being the point a long time ago." In the background, Princess Peach and Amy, also in their outfits I recently drew them in, are snogging up a storm in the style of the Kupahdraws kissing meme.

The scene from last time continues. We see Basil and Piper's silhouettes in the warm light of their front room through the window from outside, where the rain continues to pour. Piper is sat on the sofa as Basil hands her a mug of tea, saying "Here you go! We need to buy some more of our usual tea though. Only had that other blend at the back of the cupboard." Piper says "That's okay. Actually though, why did you say chamomile would be "fitting" for today?" Basil says "You don't remember? We tried it for the first time in that little café during a storm just like this. Years and years ago. Can never remember the name of it..." Piper says "Oh, I do remember that now! That was nice. The Cubby wasn't it? We should go there more often." The point of view changes to inside the room with them, pointing up towards the ceiling in a warped perspective, causing a great deal of negative space in the image. Piper says "Wow... I'm really noticing how quiet the house is, now..." Basil mumbles in agreement. The sound of the rain drums on the window behind them. They go upstairs and look down the hallway, where bedroom doors all have little placards to denote their owners. Piper says "Look at those empty bedrooms... Riley's already in Year 6... Hubert's in Year 3... and now, little Jay is starting Reception. It's all gone by so fast." Basil says "Piper! Aren't you forgetting our fourth and most precious child? Our sweet little girl, who all adore?" He then gestures to another room that was previously out of sight, which also has a placard to denote its purpose. Basil says "Guest Room has feelings too, you know! We should know, she complains about what we named her all the time!" Piper laughs. End of comic.

Modern Nintendo proved themselves cowards by removing THE PIT from N64 Wario Stadium in MKW, but they can gain redemption via OoT 2026 by: 1. Leaving the King Zora Cut-scene exactly the same. 2. Giving the game a standard cut-scene skip function. 3. Making it not present on the King Zora Cut-scene.

So OoT looks good, but yeeeeeah, as I feared, this is just another Star Fox isn't it? Nothing new gameplay/challenge-wise for the folks who adore the game and haven't really ever stopped playing it. I was really hoping for something not FF7 levels but at least Resi 2, y'know?

I've really enjoyed Raiders, think I'm satisfied with this as a stopping point (though might still pop on to do a daily help out for the sake of philanthropy).

The scene from last time continues. The couple arrive home and begin to take their jackets off, it's now very clear that they are Chamomile's parents, much younger than the previous storyline that they appeared in. Piper says "Oof, sorry about that. Just getting in from that rain, I feel a bit better already. I think I fancy just a regular tea though if it's all the same to you." Basil replies "Of course! Did you want a minute to get settled?" Piper says "Nah that's fine, you can put the kettle on now." Basil pauses for a beat before saying "...Alright!". Piper quickly turns and in a panic says "Wait, no! Let me rephrase-" But Basil cheerfully exclaims "...But I don't think it'll suit me!" "Basil!" Piper whines, raising a finger but with a cringing smile. She says "You promised me you'd at least retire that one joke!" Basil throws his hands up in surrender and looks away, smiling as he says "It's just so hard to resist! I'm definitely working on it, I promise!" End of comic.

It's a very dark morning, sun smothered in thick clouds, heavy rain pouring. The voice of an unseen character says "We'll see you later sweetheart! Be brave! You can always go find your older brothers at lunchtime if you want to. We're sure you'll have a fun first day and make friends though. Love you!" The scene is now revealed, a drop-off at the school gates of Bay Valley East Primary School, several parents present and kids walking in. In the foreground, a couple, the source of the dialogue before, walk away, a woman and a man both in rain coats. The woman has black hair poking out of her hood, the man has glasses and curly brown hair. The woman, looking back towards the school gates says "Goodness... that's that then. All our children, grown up enough to be at school now." The man jovially says "What a day for it, too!" while adjusting his rain hat. The scene changes to a high street. There's a red telephone box, an electronics store advertising a desktop computer with CRT monitor as "The home office multimedia future", a shop called "Worthwools", advertising Pick and/or Mix for 39p per 100 grams and a music sale that includes both CDs and cassettes! The man says "I thought I'd be much more emotional. Certainly was the first time... and yet, because we've been though it so many times now, there's a funny mundanity about it today instead, don't you think?" He turns to the woman and says "Oh, but it's really pouring isn't it? You'd think the both of us actually were bawling our eyes out!" We then see that the woman has indeed got comical amounts of tears streaming from her sopping wet eyes as she sniffs and sniffles, saying nothing. The man stammers "...A... ah..." The two continue walking, and the man says "Come on then, home and a hot drink for us, I think. Ha ha, tell you what'd be fitting for the day. We've got that box of herbal tea still. Shall we make a nice chamomile?" End of comic.

Bleeeh I got a bad cold this week and it's been extremely slow going getting the essential stuff (i.e. comic work) done. I'm sort of glad I didn't 100% commit to Pyraugust coooooz I'm not sure if I'll be able to do a 5th one for Saturday. We'll see, but it's looking unlikely!
