The Roland Integra-7 synth officially is discontinued. Long live Integra-7! To celebrate its long life, here's a new cross-platform editor (tested on windows & linux, but should support MacOs) providing support for everything you could ever want to do with the Integra-7. github.com/shimpe/Integ...

Random thought of the day: Anthropic urged the world to press pause on AI model development, subsequently was forced to turn off its latest and greatest AI model citing "national security" concerns (possibly after a call from a competitor to Trump admin?). Anyway, be careful what you wish for ... :)

Works generated by generative AI that are not thoroughly remixed/rearranged/modified by humans cannot be copyrighted. So is all vibe coded software automatically in public domain then?

Trump cannot attend his son's wedding because of his "responsibilities"? Yeah sure... as if that ever stopped him from golfing. The fact that he stresses in interviews how much his son would love for him to attend makes me suspect he was explicitly told he's not welcome.

Seems like many similarities exist between emperor Calligula and emperor Trump. 4-5 years into his reign, things didn't end well for the former one.

The real reason Trumpkin is sending the military to Venezuela? Revenge because they got "his" Nobel peace prize. That, and the largest known oil reserves in the world of course.

Everything to do with AI is making me wonder if perhaps we do live in a simulation after all, one that tries to find out if AI could be prevented by installing a religion that forbids biting an apple of knowledge. I guess that idea didn't work. Now we have both AI and proud ignorance. #AI #ignorance

As a teenager, I had this fantasy: "when I retire, I will come to the library every day and read the complete Encyclopedia Brittannica end to end". At no point did it occur to me that by the time I will actually retire, paper encyclopedias might not even exist in libraries anymore. #nostalgia

SATB diatonic interval canon in D minor (bass at tonic, alto at third, tenor at tonic and soprano at fifth, each voice separated from the previous by one beat). Writing it melted my brain (fun!) at times 😂. #musicsky #originalcomposition #satb #choir #canon #musiccomposition youtu.be/TlRHeFzT41I

My quirky piano line added to a flute player at wikiloops to create a spontaneous, ephemeral and experimental track... I kind of like how this one turned out :) no AI - 100% human playing. #musicsky #improvisation #piano #flute #contemporaryclassical www.wikiloops.com/backingtrack...

ICAROS prelude - for synthesizer. Based on a randomly generated 12-tone row (but you prob. wouldn't have guessed that if I didn't tell you here!). Executed on a Roland Integra-7 with a dash of BigSky reverb sauce. #synthsky #Integra7 #bigsky #prelude #synth #musicsky www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9x7...

Composer Tom Johnson died recently, and since I have just finished reading his book "Other Harmony" I decided to write a little choir piece starting from his list of Forte 5-27 chords (p. 90, fig. 5). Let it be clear that those chords were just a starting point... www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qegi...

An experimental composition I made for a local experimental music festival at the beginning of 2024. The piece was made for 8 speakers surrounding the audience, but here is remixed in a binaural version (use headphones!). It starts very sober but descends into absolute madness. youtu.be/dPfbnsBphWQ
