It’s time change & smoke alarm season folks! If you have not tested your alarms or replaced the batteries with new ones, do it. Do it now. With furnaces kicking in Carbon Monoxide is no joke. Make sure your smoke/fire alarm is not expired. They have a 10-year lifespan. That’s it. Recycle them.

I do too! I also got a pair of jeans, a sweatshirt, two sweaters, a cardigan, a T-shirt, a gravy boat, and a set of salt and pepper shakers. With the gown, it all came to roughly $58! Pretty good, I'd say.

It was sunny and warm, so I decided to go thrift shopping. I found a Ted Baker gown at a thrift store for $25! Had a feeling that the colours and waist would pair beautifully with a blazer I picked up back in June. Turns out I was right! I already have the shoes and earrings.

Trying to build a life I love despite grief & loss. Joined a small, informal choir & signed up for a dance class. Singing will be good for my lung health & dance is good exercise & may help maintain strength and help with both sleep and pain management. Plus, it will help to be around people again.

A large, unidentified, oblong fruit with a rough yellow rind with a bit of brown and green mottling toward one end. It measures about 10" long, with a 6" diameter.

Today was a good day. Choir was fun! Sharing with a friend how we're to enunciate when singing. Remember "the rain in Spain..." from "My Fair Lady"? I was mocking the silly exercises we do as vocal warmup and I said to her, "Form your vowels from your bowels lest I hit you with my trowel!"

My #cat is 15 years old. Her days now consist mostly of spending time either sitting quietly on, or of sleeping on, her favourite armchair. She does seem to want follow me more, and to want to lie on me a lot and be close/touching. Is this clinginess typical of senior #cats? *I don't mind. 🥰
