Spent the last 15 minutes of a meeting at my *very* corporate job today explaining how I think I missed my life’s calling to work in claymation. Everyone’s on board (but I still have project deadlines at noon, so there’s that)

I’m working on a lot of simultaneous sculptures this weekend, so naturally decided to pile them all together for funsies. One day I just want to make a huge hoard of little animals— I blame playing with Littlest Pet Shop toys as a kid.

Did my first art market a few weeks back… here’s some of the castings I brought.

Got a futon for my studio so I would have a place to relax… day one and the dogs have claimed it.

“Violet Hour” from June. Think this may be my favorite color schemes I’ve done, largely thanks to how fun blackberries are to sculpt and paint.

Pretty sure I have “sucker” written on my forehead at this point… introducing the newest studio assistant, Nyx🌙 He showed up on our doorstep as a very vocal feral kitten and after a month of bribing him with treats and toys, he now spends his days inside snuggling, napping, and playing.

The result versus the process! Made lots of little sculptures earlier this month for some molding and casting. The process always leaves my studio a mess, but I do enjoy the results (after they’re cleaned up, lol.)

Spent this morning rearranging the art studio and ending the day (and year) snuggled up with our pups on the couch. They’ve been drugged for fireworks and I really should be too before I impulse buy new studio furniture. Wishing you all a safe and happy New Year✨

Friendly reminder that I DO want to see everyone’s Wrapped. I love trying to perceive you all from your music choices and will spend an absurd amount of time and thought scrolling through these. 🎶

So what are we doing to combat a needless and debilitating fear of posting on social media these days? (I miss 2012)

Back at the office today after the Thanksgiving break and… struggling. Here’s to freezing in a cubicle and wishing I was a fox wizard hanging out in the woods instead🦊 #surrealism #fantasyart #polymerclay #sculpture

Who’s currently on the art desk (although this is a bit of an older photo, because paint and accessories have been added)🐻 Really excited about this piece though because I tried a new painting technique I think I’ll be switching to. Got the results I’ve been after, yay! #sculpture #bear #art

A recent sculpture! This baby’s since found a home (but he ultimately did give me a fascination with making bears. Current project is a full bodied one🐻)
