Retired healthcare worker living in rural Alberta. Wife, Mother and Nana. Profoundly discouraged by the direction Alberta is going. Hands off my pension! I believe in public health. It shouldn’t have to happen to you, to matter to you.

So tired of this crap. My husband and I are immigrants. One is a surgeon, the other works in cancer research. As TFWs in the early days, we paid taxes (and healthcare premiums when that was a thing). Then we worked our way through permanent residency and finally citizenship-paying taxes all the way.

It's dizzying to track AB healthcare changes. The revolving door is pure chaos. If a Fortune 500 company had this much executive turnover, the people in charge like Smith and LaGrange would be fired immediately. How can anyone run or work in a system like this? #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
An infographic chart titled "ALBERTA HEALTH LEADERSHIP CHANGES" at the top. The image displays a clean, three-column data table that breaks down executive turnover and leadership tenures from 2016 to the present across three distinct management roles.

The three columns are color-coded with bold headers:
1. Column 1 (Blue header): "AHS CEO" with sub-label "AHS Chief Executive Officer". This column lists nine consecutive leadership periods: Verna Yiu (2016–22), Mauro Chies (Int.) (2022), John Cowell (2022–23), Mauro Chies (2023), Sean Chilton (Int.) (2023), Athana Mentzelopoulos (2023–25), Andre Tremblay (2025), Erin O'Neill (Int.) (2025–26), and Andre Tremblay (2026–Present).
2. Column 2 (Orange header): "CMO" with sub-label "Chief Medical Officer". This column shows two primary blocks of internal hospital medical leadership: François Bélanger (2017–23) spans the upper half, and Peter Jamieson (2023–26) spans the lower half.
3. Column 3 (Green header): "CMOH" with sub-label "Chief Medical Officer of Health". This column lists the public health advisors chronologically: Deena Hinshaw (2019–22), Mark Joffe (Int.) (2022–25), Sunil Sookram (Int.) (2025), and Vivien Suttorp (2025–Present).

The layout directly maps the names side-by-side to illustrate that while the corporate business suite (CEO) underwent frequent administrative turnover, the medical operations leadership (CMO) and public health advisory roles (CMOH) remained stable over multi-year anchors.A visual timeline diagram titled "AHS LEADERSHIP: A DECADE OF EXECUTIVE TURNOVER (2016-2026)". The timeline is represented as a single continuous line that winds back and forth from top to bottom like a serpentine path, color-coded into segments to denote different executive tenures. White circular nodes mark major transition points.

The path details the following progression:
- It starts at the top with a dark blue line running back and forth multiple times, labeled at the top node as "DR. VERNA YIU MAY 2016".
- The line shifts to yellow at a node labeled "MAURO CHIES APR 2022".
- It transitions to orange at a node labeled "DR. JAMES COWELL NOV 2022".
- It changes back to red at a node labeled "MAURO CHIES MAR 2023".
- A short purple segment follows a node labeled "SEAN CHILTON NOV 2023".
- It turns into a long black line from a node labeled "ATHANA MENTZELOPUOLOS DEC 2023", continuing down to a node labeled "ANDRE TREMBLAY JAN 2025".
- Near the bottom, a light blue looping arc starts at a node labeled "ERIN O'NEILL DEC 3, 2025" and curves downward to connect with a final bright green horizontal line beginning at a node labeled "ANDRE TREMBLAY JAN 2026".

At the bottom, a text block titled "A Note on Governance and Executive Roles" explains the historical context: "Turnover has been high in both leadership and governance. In November 2022, the AHS Board was dismissed and Dr. John Cowell was appointed Official Administrator, assuming board-level authority. During this restructuring period, executive leadership roles overlapped, with Mauro Chies serving as Interim CEO (April 2022) and then being appointed CEO in March 2023 before his termination in November 2023. 2025-2026: Andre Tremblay took leave in Dec 2025, with Erin O'Neill serving as short-term interim CEO. Tremblay returned to the CEO role in Jan 2026."
