I've been making video games in some form for 20 years, so I wrote an article about my process - and why I don't use an engine. noelberry.ca/posts/making...

i still really like silo but season 2 was soooooo slow. the last episode was a reminder of what the show is best at (juliette using soft skills) but the season’s about to wrap up so

It’s funny cause I was initially way more hyped for sk dig since it was another platformer (from nitrome no less) yet pocket dungeon I ended up enjoying more

Finished shovel knight pocket dungeon a couple days ago, pretty fun underrated game. Comical amount of content as well, though I get how it’s more niche than sidescrolling shovel knight

no just like 3rd party releases on switch will not be as compromised as they were before graphically, steam is not on consoles if thats what you're saying??

110

sheeb @sheebstuff.bsky.social · 17/12/2024

mostly just cause I like to swap between pc/handheld often so its great for me and I have a lot of games on steam. I think switch 2 will be the best overall console though since it should be decently powerful when it comes out so 3rd party support will be good

how do people expect their servers to be found if it's not publicly discoverable

cropped twitter screenshot

"I was looking at setting up a custom server for the ATProtocol for the Personal Data Server to be used with BlueSky, but realized that these servers are being scrapped.

<link to atproto-scraping repository>

X is preventing data scraping and is actively suing those who do engage in it.

BlueSky probably does not."

It’s funny how some people still seem to not understand the benefits of blue sky. The point is that everything is public, which has a lot of upsides but a few downsides like this. (Though this irrational fear of the scraping boogeyman is drastically overblown)

Thinking about how 10 years ago Nintendo wouldn’t approve The Binding of Isaac for the Wii U and now you can’t even browse the eShop without your console overheating from displaying 4,000 titles with names like “101 Ecchi Puzzles -The Panty-Slayer Mysteries UNTOLD-“
