Lovely day to be wading a creek...low 50s and sunny. Caught a rare hybrid tiger trout, harvested a couple of wild/invasive browns from a brook trout stream, and while snapping some scenery photos from the bridge, saw an otter swimming by!

It's supposed to be active all night and tomorrow night too. It comes in waves (substorms) so if it isn't visible when you go outside, wait 30 minutes and try again. It's not this brilliant to the naked eye, but give your eyes time to adjust, it's there.

Forgot to post my Wednesday afternoon adventure! Was a chilly, rainy day, but work was slow, so I called in #fuckmoneygetfishes for the afternoon. Landed some really nice brook trout in one of my favorite streams, got soaked, and stank like a wet dog by the time the sun went down. Better than work!

Caught not one, but two, incredibly rare tiger trout while blowing off my work this afternoon. A tiger trout is a rare (but wild in this case), sterile hybrid created when a male brook trout fertilizes the eggs of a female brown trout. These two bring my lifetime total to five. #fuckmoneygetfishes

She (the tabby) was in "his" (oramge) chair. He wanted to be in his chair, so I placed him there. There was a brief interlude of growling (her). A peace has since been established.

Today was a tough day. Had to say goodbye to our 19 year old void, Clove. It was time. She spent her final days in a warm bed snuggling with a rotating cast of cats. She was loved. She will be missed.

OK...the NWS Bot collection is now fully populated and ready to go. I'm sure bugs will come up along the way, but I think it is 95%+ stable. There's an index page at nws-bot.us including a map (borrowed from NWS) to find the right bot for the area you want to follow.
