Tuberculosis myth: "Tuberculosis doesn't happen where I live." Fact: Tuberculosis (TB) can occur anywhere in the world, regardless of socioeconomic status. TB is most common in low-income countries, often because testing and treatment are harder to get. In 2023, over 9600 people in the United States contracted tuberculosis.

See example of GenXpert cartridge: Cepheid received $250M in public/philanthropic funds for its development. At current volumes, they COST <$4 to make (tinyurl.com/Xpert4). Cepheid PRICES them at $8-$50. They claim cost is $8. But they have shared no evidence to explain this deadly discrepancy.
