The contrast couldn’t be clearer: while Trump is using tax dollars to promote himself on TV, he’s taking more resources away from communities that need them. Congress approved this funding, and denying these funds from the American people is a blatant attack on Congress’s constitutional powers.

These taxpayer-funded ads do nothing to serve you. They only serve Trump. This is yet another example of how Trump is again ripping off the American people and elevating himself all on the taxpayers’ dime.

Trump’s Administration has repeatedly failed to keep your data safe. Now, this decision lets Trump use your SSA data for something it was never meant to do: verify voter eligibility. Your data should be protected, not misused as a tool in Trump’s voter suppression agenda.

Rep. Richard Neal @neal.house.gov · 24/09/2026
The American people have a right to know the truth about their government and members of the press have a right to report it. Trump just showed us the extreme lengths he will go to thwart that. That isn’t the hallmark of a courageous leader, it’s cowardice and un-American.

As if making coverage harder to access through skyrocketing premiums and more red tape wasn’t painful enough, Republicans are doubling down to take it away entirely. It’s clear that Trump is perfectly okay with that, as long as those at the top can keep cashing in.

Social Security Commissioner Bisignano told Congress he has “the right amount of staff.” Meanwhile, field offices are described as “ghost offices” & record-low morale has created the worst staffing crisis in SSA’s history. His failure to respond after 3 months leaves serious questions unanswered.

The Kennedy Center is a beacon of performing arts & a memorial to one of our greatest presidents. Demolishing it would be illegal & un-American. Imagine a president adding their name to the Washington Monument or Lincoln Memorial. Only weak leaders grift their names onto the legacies of great ones.

Trump's track record speaks for itself. The American people can't afford for Congress to hand more price-hiking tariff power to the most corrupt president in history.

Rep. Richard Neal @neal.house.gov · 15/09/2026
If this sanctions bill passes, $6.2B worth of imports into Massachusetts could face tariffs as high as 100%. That means higher costs at the grocery store, gas station, & everywhere in between. Massachusetts already faced an estimated $3.7B tariff tab. This is the last thing families need.

Where Trump's tariffs hit Massachusetts the hardest
States bear wildly different burdens from President Trump's $342 billion in tariffs.

House Democrats stand with Ukraine. But giving Trump even more tariff power while people are struggling to get by isn’t the answer. We need a bipartisan bill that holds Russia accountable without risking higher costs for the American people.

Today, as we commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives that were lost, and honor the brave men and women who answered the call not just that day, but in the days, months, and years that followed.

Trump promised you he’d cut costs on day 1. Nearly 600 days later, and you’re footing the bill for his costly war, thoughtless tariffs, and grandiose vanity projects. Workers and families in Massachusetts deserve better.

Trump is taking his war on child care one step further, making it even harder for parents to find child care while keeping their jobs. His latest move will strain resources, limit access to benefits for workers, and threaten the funding that providers rely on to keep their doors open.

Republicans decided to give up and go home after handing you the most expensive August at the gas pump and for diesel on record. The Trump Administration's message? Be grateful it isn’t worse. Republicans made this economy too difficult to get by in, never mind get ahead.

Rep. Richard Neal @neal.house.gov · 03/09/2026
For Republicans, there’s never a problem giving those at the top every advantage money can buy. But when it comes to everyone else, they’ll go out of their way to kick the ladder out. Democrats won't stop fighting until these racist attacks are put to a stop once and for all.

John F. Kennedy was a son of Massachusetts who dedicated his life to serving our nation. The Kennedy Center has carried on his legacy and continues to serve as a beacon for performing arts around the world. That legacy cannot be demolished to satisfy Trump’s vanity.

Trump has once again blown a trade negotiation in the eleventh hour. Picking fights with our closest allies doesn’t project strength – it just shows the world the American president doesn’t give a damn about his people and the prices they’re forced to pay.

Every day the Trump Administration launches attack after attack on hard-working people. In this case, the IRS and CEO Bisignano are trying to trample on the rights of IRS unionized employees. I’m demanding answers and accountability.

Trump promised to cut the national debt. Instead, he is adding a trillion to the debt every 150 days. Republicans claim to be "fiscally responsible," but the reality is they would cut taxes for billionaires & stick future generations with the bill all for the sake of Trump and his buddies.

U.S. Debt Hits $40 Trillion as America’s Borrowing Binge Continues
President Trump’s promises to restore fiscal order and reduce the amount of America’s debt burden have been undercut by spending on the Iran war, tax cuts and tariff refunds.

The same people who promised you trillions of dollars in savings are now responsible for ballooning the debt to $40 trillion. More broken promises from a president only focused on enriching himself.

With the largest measles outbreak in decades still looming on Trump's watch, now is not the time to attack what experts agree saves lives: routine vaccines. The facts haven't changed, only the Trump Administration's willingness to put quackery where science belongs.

This is Trump’s economy. And it's delivering higher costs, fewer jobs, and less opportunity for working families. Your wallet should matter more than the President’s bottom line and your health care should matter more than a helipad.
132
Rep. Richard Neal @neal.house.gov · 06/08/2026
Republicans think a promise from the Trump Administration is enough to keep them from breaking the law. Their record gives Congress no reason to take this Administration at its word. No president gets to make themselves immune from tax audits — and this bill makes sure of that.

It shouldn’t be this hard for the Administration to answer our basic questions about DOGE. The fact that they’re refusing to speaks volumes.

Republicans could have extended the ACA tax credits for 3 years and lowered health care costs for 20 million people. Instead, they want to hand Trump and Hegseth a $73 billion war chest for their botched war in Iran. Your health is not their policy priority.

Republicans say we can't afford health care, child care, or paid leave. Yet they always find the money to deliver handouts to the ultra-wealthy or spend billions of taxpayer dollars on failed wars. They don't have to tell you you're not a priority. Their actions already have.

Medicare & Medicaid reflect our belief that everyone deserves dignity & security. 61 years later, Republicans are moving us in the opposite direction. After making the biggest Medicaid cuts in history, they're not satisfied & are finding new ways to hike costs and shut down more hospitals.

Tomorrow marks Medicare's 61st anniversary. Instead of building on Democrats' successes at lowering Medicare costs, Trump is unraveling it. The truth: more seniors are finally filling the prescriptions they need because Dems capped out-of-pocket costs. That's exactly how Medicare should work.

Congress must be held to the standard our constituents demand, grounded in trust, accountability, & integrity. Republicans put a bill on the Floor that appears to be reform but settles for a half-measure that allows more abuses. They also poisoned it with voter suppression. That's why I voted no.
