In Greek mythology, the dead drank from the river Lethe to forget their earthly lives. But Orphic burial tablets sometimes instructed initiates to avoid Lethe and seek the waters of Mnemosyne, Memory, instead. Even in death, forgetting wasn't always the goal. #MythologyMonday

Candy corn doesn't get nearly the respect it deserves.

#WitchMadness I always used to roll my eyes but it really is true. Since getting serious about my #devotionals and #SpiritualPractice the gods have truly blessed me and everything just seems to be getting better.

That's actually a pretty go way to say it. I was also thinking "is it a tool or a of avoidance."

Make new things, including friends. Make paintings, songs, and books. Make mischief and the good kinds of trouble. Make magic any way you know how and make a better tomorrow if you can.

It probably would have happened either way. I was moving back and forth between two different apps. From now on big rewrite like that are being done by hand.😆

#WriteSky Spent most of the day doing rewrites which I was quite happy with. Then I somehow pushed the wrong button and lost them. 😭 Luckily I still have the original and I basic idea of what I was going for.

As the brother observed the proceedings, he began to recite the sacred words of cleansing. As his prayers sailed over the assembled masses, the heretic’s moans grew to animalistic wails. “See how the heretic cowers from the word of Source of All?"

#WitchMadness had a wonderful #EleusinianMysteries some interesting & powerful messages came through. One thing I can share:"Is it a tool or a crutch?" is a horrible ableist question. A crutch is literally a tool. There are better ways of phrasing this idea.

#WitchMadness since fasting isn't an option for me, I will be abstaining from social media and listening to music Mon-Wed in celebration of #Persephone 's decent and the #GreaterMysteries See you all on the other side.

That's similar to how I read tarot for people. I ask the deck to give me cards that will help me best articulate the message needed. How I read those specific cards might not ( probably won't ) be the way others would interpret them.

I would gladly give up streaming to get brick and mortar stores back. It was so much easier to find movies back then. Also, I want my tv shows on dvd.

I’m interested in people’s answers. I’m still unclear on the difference between types of magic.

#WitchMadness not sure what’s floating around in the #aether. Both last night and this morning, my #omens were warnings.

I aspire to have this problem. I've been stuck for a couple week on my novel. I have the basic outline, but I can't seem to join the chunks.

#WitchMadness #HeathenSky Weird omens today. Jera when asking how my offerings were received-very positive with encouragement to do more. Message going forward I pulled isa - stagnation and rest. Maybe I’m being told while what I’m doing is good, the spirits are warning me against doing too much?

Totally fair. I doubt I'm even going to publish the novel I'm working on at all.

I'm very curious about this one. I thought the whole point of the ending of the first one was they broke the curse. Interested to see how they explain the curse not actually being broken.

I thought I would be digging into folk magick. Turns out magick is not for me. Instead I’m dedicating one year to Hekate and Odin. Hekate has been with me since the beginning of my path and Odin joined not long after; but I’ve been so caught up in other stuff I never really got deep with either.

My practice has been the biggest struggle. I’m in a totally different place than I expected. It’s only been since June that it finally feels settled - at least for now. The biggest shock is my writing. I’m nowhere near where I wanted to be, but the fact I’m still working on it is a huge win for me.

A year ago I started #SelfLoveSeptember to celebrate turning 40. If memory serves it didn't last long. Turns out I was embarking on a full year of growth. 365 days later, My #paganism is simpler yet deeper, for the first time since covid I haven't gained any weight and I'm still working on my novel.

A spiritual practice doesn't have to look impressive to be meaningful. Sometimes it's a ritual. Sometimes it's a moment of stillness. Sometimes it's simply noticing that you're breathing a little more easily than you were five minutes ago. 💫
