12 yrs old now and just started 2 yrs ago. No medical issues. Decreased the areas he uses with enzyme sprays, rearranged furniture, yet another litter pan (lol), but bedrooms are still an issue. Happy to hear that meds could really help. Hate not letting him in my room

He definitely cheek marks as well. I'll definitely talk to the vet about it. If anything, I think it could help with his anxiety even if it doesn't totally stop spraying

Territorial anxiety include spraying behavior? Have a neutered male spraying the past 2 yrs and we've tried everything short of meds. Unfortunately, neighborhood has many indoor-outdoor cats and they come in our yard a lot

Oh no. 1 of my previous cats likely had mild FHS. We just had to avoid touching her back or her skin would visibly ripple and she would react. I really feel for the ones who have it worse. Never thought about a viral connection. Makes me think of people with long COVID who developed fibromyalgia

Yes. Actually I would get it a lot in my face and head too. I started taking gabapentin in combo with duloxetine because the numbness in my head/face was debilitating. Long COVID set off the fibro, though, so it's hard to tell which symptoms belong to what condition

Our main county shelter I adopted two cats from 12 yrs ago has only been accepting dogs ever since COVID. Cats at the mercy of being placed or not placed at shelters that aren't set up by the local government. Humane society or SICSA can take them but definitely feel the loss of the main shelter

Sorry to hear this. Just went through something similar with a cat I lost. It was either solely liver disease, IBD, or undiagnosed GI lymphoma that made him stop eating. I'm sure they've looked at multiple things but have they checked for lymphoma? Doesn't always have a visible mass or show up in BW

I'm guessing the pyometra increased the cost. Still a lot though. A cat I took in once was a surprise pyometra case. Literally had no symptoms. Vet had no clue until he opened her up. Had to pay extra because the surgery turned into an emergency 😬

A month ago I posted that we'd be letting Nyx go and he ended up recovering enough that we got to spend another month with him. It was a great gift despite being uncertain the whole time whether he'd recover or not. Ultimately, we had to say goodbye this week. #HealingPurrsPawty

She was young & her only litter from a sibling 😬. Previous owner struggled with $. She actually was pretty good. Maybe a bit lenient. These 2 kittens were just particularly stubborn over this 1 nipple. Things eventually sorted themselves out once I moved one of them to another nipple enough times.
