This project will replace field turf with new material that utilizes natural infill. All of the old turf will be removed and recycled.

We're excited to share that the renovation project at Kimbell Playground (1901 Geary Boulevard) has been completed. As part of the project, the synthetic turf on these fields was replaced after 14 years of use.

8 newly developed ‘Grateful Dead’ hybrid tea roses have been planted in the front right bed of the garden. Vibrant, fragrant, & deep red in color, the roses were bred by JB Williams & Associates (JBWA), a renowned third-generation rose breeding family based in Maryland.

Naga is part of the larger 2-part installation Naga & The Captainess. While the full piece featured both the serpent & a sculptural shipwreck, only the sea serpent is currently on view. Lantern-lit seating in the shape of a sunken ship will be added later this year.

Towering 25' high & stretching over 100' long, Naga is a majestic metal serpent composed of 5 glowing segments installed at the base of the waterfall. Lit from within & occasionally exhaling bubbles, it comes alive at night when its shimmering scales ripple w/ pulsing lights.
