We agree with much of @aarieff.bsky.social's opinion piece in @sfchronicle.com about Market Street's unmet potential. We'd add that improving the active transportation experience for people who ride bikes and scooters is the critical first step to creating places that people want to go, and linger!

OPINION: San Francisco has been trying to fix Market Street since 1962. It’s still a mess. More of us should be asking what’s taking so long.

"The neighborways were supposed to offer a network of slow, calm streets for pedestrians and cyclists. But without a completed network, the sole finished project, on Ortega Street, has failed to make much of a difference." From @junyaoyang.bsky.social on @missionlocal.org

S.F. promised to slow cars on eight Sunset streets. Five years later, only one is done.
Without a network, it is unclear if one street can make a difference to make streets safer for pedestrians and cyclists.

They wanted an all-bike S.F. wedding. But what about 95-year-old Grandma Meryl?
Debs Schrimmer and Matt Redmond had an unusual wedding request: They wanted every guest to ride to the reception on a bicycle through Golden Gate Park. Here’s how it went.
