After committing code where debug variables were at non-default value for the umpteenth time ... I finally added a pre-commit hook that make sure all vars are at default. It's a rather barbaric bash script with a hodge podge of regexps, but it does the trick. #Godot #IndieDev #GameDev

Are starter packs still a "thing"? During the big #Bluesky migration last year, there were many of them popping up for a wide variety of domains. They were a great tool for finding new or smaller creators. I did some searches and they seemed to have died down, but I might be missing something.

Four cards in Flocking Hell use a hack where they skip the game manager and go straight to the campaign. This led to an exploit where players can cheat out resources by playing the card, saving, then loading the game 😬 Fixing this with proper access controls ... #Programming #GameDev #IndieDev
