I tried. I really tried. I was able to get up to about 30 WPM with Colemak-DH, but fighting years of QWERTY muscle memory is incredibly difficult and very frustrating. My productivity also really plummeted. I've gone back to QWERTY for now. Maybe I'll try again another time.

@skeetsapp.com I'm a little curious about the difference in the trending feeds between the official Bluesky app and the Skeets app. It seems the feeds for trending topics in the Bluesky app have more recent/relevant skeets. Are you aware of this?

Finally tried Ambients key switches from lowprokb on my ZSA Voyager! I went with the Nocturnal variant. Unbelievable how silent they are. Trying to decide whether I like them enough to to keep them on my keyboard. I've always preferred tactile switches but the Sunrise variant isn't available yet.

Woke up with the right side of my face paralyzed. Thought I was having a stroke! Apparently this is a thing that happens sometimes (Bell's palsy) and they don't know the cause for me. So I'll likely have facial paralysis for 2 weeks to a few months, and potentially even longer. Cool cool cool. 🤨

Reading more into how ATproto works, and it's actually really straightforward, in my opinion. To put it as simply as I can, each user on a PDS ("personal data server") has a NoSQL db. Your app ("AppView") OAuths with the PDS using the user's creds, and you can read/write to the user's NoSQL db.

For those who use vim motions, how long did it take you to really get good at them? Ive been using vim mode in various apps for 2-3 weeks now. Definitely picking up lots of little tricks, but still very much feel myself saying in my mind "change line", "delete word", etc.

Checking out some of the third party iOS apps available for Bluesky. So far Skeets seems to feel more native than the others? I think both the official app and Graysky might be React Native or something. Anyway, gonna roll with Skeets for a bit.

As I'm sure tons of people are doing recently, I've been evaluating Threads and Bluesky. One of the most frustrating things about Threads to me is that if you leave the app for a short period of time and come back, the feed refreshes. What if I wanted to come back to the exact same spot?? 😡
