Grant Hauschild is going to lose because he voted for gun registration after promising he wouldn't. All DFLers should be against making us register ourselves with violent, unaccountable in order to own a handgun. But at least metro DFLers have the excuse that it might help them politically.

In State v. Vagle, Ellison's office argued thousands of Minnesotans (including me) are commiting a felony for simply owning guns (many of them antiques) legally made without a serial number. He's still getting my vote, because at least he doesn't support the jackbooted thugs invading our state.

Yes, but the standard for showing entrapment in court is notoriously high. You have to show that you weren't predisposed to the conduct you are accused of . And it'd hard to do that when the jury is reading text messages where you declare your allegiance to ISIS or whatever.

Yep. They do it with right wing militia types too. Find someone sad, angry and isolated and have a couple friendly informants join their "militia". Then after a couple years of talking up far right propaganda the informant has a friend who is willing to send the bomb mako g materials cheap.

If anything this downplays the FBI's role in these plots they claim to foil. The FBI actively looks for isolated people to radicalize. The informant was sending this guy propaganda for 17 month until he turned 18 and they could go forward with the sting.
