dawn in silvermoon city [ #worldofwarcraft #art ]

a drawing of a sin'dorei character named rel. she stands at a balcony overlooking the morning skyline in silvermoon city, dressed in red, white, and gold embroidery. there are emerald gems adorning her robe. looking back over her shoulder at the viewer, she has a warm and calm expression, framed by curtains and illuminated by the rising sun

My ratings for the Metroids I have beaten thus far: Super - 10/10 Dread - 9/10 Prime - 9/10 Zero Mission - 9/10 Fusion - 8/10 AM2R - 8/10 I found Dread, Prime, and Zero Mission as especially worthy successors to Super, despite none quite being so open on the scale Super is.

Its kinda crazy how often I find myself at odds with mandates I learn Shigeru Miyamoto was behind. Like apparently he pushed for Metroid Prime to be first person when Retro was leaning third? Like, I LOVE Prime but it does kinda kill me how much of Samus' acrobatics were sacrificed for it.

Saw a video that really addressed my issues with the WoW Forever visuals. Think the points made were great and very understanding, and there wasn't any shit being thrown at the retail style either, really. youtu.be/Ex7jjjjnLkg?... Did not go into the comments nor do I know the creator however!

Really interesting detail I wish I had gotten a clip of: you see this guy running by functional space ships to head you off as you approach the final boss in Dread. Infested with a parasite obsessed with survival and reproduction, the soldier chooses to serve Raven Beak instead of try to escape.

Possibly a bit more accurate to the prompt. With my first go at this, I kinda drifted toward endpoints - games that shape/represent me now. But they don't stray far from these origins.

FF7 was the first time I loved a game's story. Ocarina of Time was my first real gaming adventure. Metal Gear Solid introduced me to stealth action. Morrowind taught me the depth games could go for immersion. Metroid Prime was an expansion on adventuring, immersion, and action in one package. Fallout 2 showed me the agency one could have in shaping a rich narrative. Pokemon Gold was a whole ass social movement as a kid. Sonic 2 was my introduction to gaming. And GTA: San Andreas cemented my love of open world action.

yikes lmao the old stormwind is so much better. the cathedral and much taller and it feels so uch better also look at the roof textures. the wear on them. the uneven tiles. look at the wood and how much depth there's to it. even the tree somehow feels better.

Obligatory final cutscene post: Samus is so fucking cool holy shit ;-; I love the way they ducked her screaming when the camera pans out to the ship lmao.

Sereven @sereven.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

Gee I sure hope nothing comes of a scientist infested with a malicious parasite hanging out on our ship while we're away, making sure we get off the planet. He would never have stowed away samples of himself and made sure the ship's systems were blind to it. Nah. What a nice guy.

Got his ass. Easily the best boss I've fought in the franchise. Though I still only have Prime, Super, AM2R, Zero Mission, and now Dread under my belt. 4 attempts to get first phase down, 10 for the second, 1 for the final lol. You can see my inputs deteriorate to garbage at the end but I did it!

i honestly think WoD and Legion had the best texture quality of any wow stuff. The new stuff has no texture, it's all so smooth. WoD/Legion was modern but kept the grit and texture and age of things. like this looks SO good. Compare to the housing. It's so flat and gritless.

Kinda toying with Forever being an AU where Ser was still living with family in Isildien when the sundering happened, and wound up with a lineage with the shen'dorei. Kinda need to learn what the lifespan situation with these elves is so I know if I can make a blueberry Ser or a descendant instead.

TL;DR: I am in the negatives, and have a bunch of bills due today. I need anywhere from $223 - $240 to get OUT of the negatives and survive all the bills pending for TODAY. Please, if anyone can give anything, here's my Ko-Fi: ko-fi.com/boilingheart Full story in this post here.

Tumblr post from boilingheart, where the first post reads: "oh my god i'm so broke. i'm in the negatives. i'm so fucking broke again right before payday and a week before rent. this is so fucking hard."

The next reblog is also from boilingheart, and it is a screenshot from the bank account that says: "Available balance: -$90.29". This screenshot is followed by a modified joy emoji, where the emoji has wide open eyes, sadly/worried furrowed brows, tears, and a giant smile, to make it appear distressed.

A tumblr post from boilingheart that reads:

"Okay I just did the math.

I have a bunch of Pay in 4 things due today or past due from this week that I need to pay. I also have a bill today that's $19.99 that needs to get taken care of. I am overdraft today cause of a medical thing that got processed automatically that I forgot was going to hit today.

I already owe like $500+ to other people I've borrowed from so I don't have those folks as options at the moment (luckily they're cool with letting me pay in installments and to take my time but I want to pay them back soon regardless cause I hate being in debt)

So we're struggling right now. Sibling just got covid and can't work til they get better so we're gonna be short some cash.

So, to get OUT of the negatives, I need $90.29, but to cover the Pay in 4s due today, I need $111.76 on top of that, not counting the pending bill today.

I need a MINIMUM of $222.04 to clear everything due TODAY and get OUT of the negatives."

A continuation of the post from before that reads: "We're about to be out of water (I buy 5 gallons of purified water from a water place) so I need at LEAST ~$14 to buy water today.

We're also out of food, and I'm out of EBT cause they cut my EBT benefits this month, and I'm out of space on my credit card cause I needed gas. I've been filling up 1 gallon at a time and driving slow to try to stretch my money.

Oh my god life is so fucking hard.
So to survive TODAY and get water, I need at LEAST $240

Hoghhghhh. If anyone can spare ANYTHING at all, please, here is my Ko-Fi.

I can't give anything in return right now, I've been art blocked and still owe one comm to someone from May (oh god!) so I can't in good faith do any comms right now. I just can't. I'm sorry. I wish I could do something in return but I'm on my hands and knees begging for mercy."

I wonder if any of the sky elves mention Isildien. I'd always assumed it was the city proper and eldre'thalas was more of a stronghold back in the day. ANYWAY I say all this because this is where Ser is from! No matter the timeline she seems doomed to have family reappear and join the horde lol.

Tried my hand at khoresht karafs. Mom used to make it a lot when I was growing up. We're not Persian, but we had a family friend who shared this with us and now here I am doing my best lol Tastes like I remember! Strong citrus, mint, celery, turmeric flavors.
