Ancyor is also from Greek mythology. He was the son of Lycaon who, unsurprisingly with a name like that, was turned into a wolf by Zeus.

I mean, it is just the one for me (because my dysphoria meant I would never go out enough to need anymore than one).

Omg, Alex Mack!!! I used to love watching that as a kid with my sister. Though I think I was a few years too young for her to be a crush.

Let's go, Sam Forstag! That's how you stand up for trans people on the national stage. If congressional candidates in western Montana—one of the most competitive House races in the entire country—can stand up for trans folks in every aspect of our lives, democrats everywhere should take note.

Montana Dem Sam Forstag just refused to throw trans people under the bus in the MT-01 debate: “Keep politics the heck out of it.” He said government has no business in sports or telling parents what to do. It’s the most competitive House race in the country. Subscribe to support our journalism.

Janet Murray is now publicly harassing a random trans woman for choosing to get gender affirming surgery, and her real life friend for donating some money towards funding it. Janet works for the Telegraph and the Mail. This is the state of British journalism. Harassing people for being trans.
Janet Murray on Facebook: NEW: An English teacher at a 28k a year private girls' school crowdfunded for "bottom surgery" in Thailand in during the summer.
And his headteacher's name appears to be amongst the donors.
He wrote about the experience for his Go Fund Me page - which remained live - until the school was approached for comment this afternoon.
My latest for [Un]Captured - link below

Headline from the link: Girls' school head donated to teacher's sex-change surgery fund
English teacher Cassie Westwood's appeal for "bottom surgery" in Thailand listed a donation under the name of his boss, headteacher Caroline Jordan.

Same. I literally reached the end. I was making plans to write my will and wouldn't have survived more than a few days past that appointment. So at that point it was very much a case of what is there left to lose, why not just try to transition?

A couple walked into my office today, Security - "Do you have an appointment?" Couple - "No, we just wanted a quick chat with her." (pointing towards me) 😁🥲🥰 I think my boymoding at work phase is fast approaching it's end.

NHS Wales has released the detailed terms of reference for its investigation, which halted the care of hundreds; we examine.

The NHS Wales Joint Commissioning Committee (NWJCC) has published the terms of reference for its investigation, which halted the surgeries of hundreds of Trans+ patients, as revealed by QueerAF and What The Trans!? In August.

Their own site says it, "is a phrase calling for the safety, visibility and respect of transgender women against anti-trans rhetoric and violence." So basically antithetical to their values of endangering, minimalising and contempt for trans women whilst they push anti-trans rhetoric and violence.

Your regular reminder that my daughter Alice’s death wasn’t counted in Appleby’s report, despite her meeting all the criteria. And when I emailed the Tavistock adult GIC to inform them they could take Alice off the waitlist, because she’d died by suicide, they never replied. It’s a disgrace.

She's also gay, making it even more important to the BBC to censor her. Can't have the public seeing that lesbians overwhelmingly support us (more than trans people support trans people according to some polls), it would ruin the whole narrative they've been pushing for years now.

I was more meaning in general but now that I think about it, basically, yeah. There are so many stories of trans people not/stopping transitioning because of loved ones pressuring them. And some where they get pushed so far back into the closet that they start attacking trans people themselves.

Today, I resigned as Vice Chair of the ODP Pride Caucus. The state party expects us to be a sales team, censoring our voices when we beg candidates not to trade on trans lives. I am still a Democrat, but I will not value party approval over true, defiant advocacy. Full text below. 👇
Part 1 of an open letter of resignation by Arienne Childrey, stepping down as Vice Chair and member of the Ohio Democratic Party (ODP) Pride Caucus. She states that party leadership treats the caucus as a recruitment and sales team rather than a representative body. She cites an incident where the ODP censored and denied permission for the caucus to post a letter by two trans leaders addressing harmful comments made by Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton. The State Party Chair reportedly called the letter an "unwelcome distraction," which Childrey notes demonstrates how little party leadership values the voices and dignity of LGBTQ+ Democrats.
Since that decision, every Caucus plan, every potential post, and every path forward has been filtered through a lens of strict compliance and ODP approval. That may very well be the party's rule, but following those rules right now is a dereliction of our duty to the LGBTQ+ community.

For me, any rule that silences advocacy for the trans community during this time is an unjust rule, and I see no obligation to follow it. In alignment with the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in his Letter from Birmingham Jail:

“One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws.”

We are living in incredibly dangerous times for the trans community. We are in an era where the GOP has so thoroughly weaponized trans lives that even some formerly self-professing allies within our own party have fallen prey to the rhetoric. Looking at the national trend towards Democratic anti-trans triangulation, as well as our own internal conversations, it is clear to me that this shift is much more than a simple coincidence.

We have to speak up—loudly, strongly, and unapologetically—or I fear what our 2028 choices may look like. The ODP would like everyone to believe they are a "big tent" party. However, their successful efforts to silence even the Pride Caucus—even in cases where we are simply begging our candidates not to trade on our lives for perceived electoral advantage—has proven otherwise. The tent hasn't gotten any bigger; it has simply shifted, leaving many trans individuals, progressives, and allies out in the rain.

I will continue to advocate, organize, and fight for our community with everything I have. But I can no longer compromise my own moral principles by remaining part of a caucus that appears more interested in party approval than in true, defiant advocacy.

Sincerely,
Arienne Childrey
