we have been so investor-pilled that ppl think your house’s price going up is always a good thing. unless you want to continually be leveraging against your house for debt or you are selling literally right now, your house value going down is actually better for ongoing expenditures (e.g. rates)

i've always wondered why we export so much good stuff in nz and it costs so much to buy things grown and produced here... today i learned that GST applies at every point in the supply chain from producer to retailer, but if you export goods you don't pay any GST??
