So, I was on stand by to preach this morning and, as it turned out, was needed. Worked on it on and off last night and this morning and gets what I came up with. Seemed to go down well, especially the "Starter for ten" (a little teaser bit near the start of the service).

As a linguistics hobbyist, the Romeo and Juliet posts are hilarious for two reasons. 1) They all correctly point out that Shakespearean English isn't Old English. 2) About half of them reproduce the 'Olde English' error in the process, which I guess goes to show why it appears originally.

Sunday evenings. They often leave me feeling low. Washed up by the tide of whatever has been happening that day, the rest I maybe haven't really got, as it recedes. I know I'm not alone in this and there's comfort in that, I guess, but still. Everything seems so hollow as the day draws to a close.
