Galactic Racer is even better than I imagined it would be. So exhilarating! And the Roguelite elements makes it much more interesting than just a racing game. It was worth throwing my various work-earned vouchers at. But now I should go to bed...

So, today I made a decision to step back from some stuff for a while because my mental health has not been at its best, and I feel pretty crappy about it, cos they are things I care about and one, at least, will have a question mark over it if I'm not doing up front stuff, but it is what it is. 😢

Ahh, unlucky mate. Turns out trans healthcare is still the scientifically and morally correct thing to do. I assume you'll be apologising now? Not sure why you thought the last 5 years would be different to the nearly 100 before that but ok

Some prick from Twitter exactly 5 years ago saying "I do hope in five years when this has been consigned to the rubbish heap that your apology to the legions of mutilated 20somethings will be fulsome and abject, Katy. You're going to have a LOT of explaining to do."

Mary Robinette Kowal' button-using cat uses 'litterbox' to swear. I love it so much! Given it's supposed to be healthy for us, I can only imagine it is for cats too.

Eating my feelings on Sunday night? Couldn't be me... Well, at least I've turned the trip to get snacks into a loungery mental health walk.

I'm team Buddleia in terms of my colour preference, but I wonder if it might be emotionally intense? My other choice would be Rhapsody which looks like it might be calming.

It's going to take a while to get used to being in college on Mondays now. It results in me essentially having a Sunday-Monday weekend and then a full week right after which is a bit of a shock to the system! 😅

Especially funny in the context of the oft-repeated factoid about more people regretting knee surgery than transition.

Been feeling a bit ill all day so it's time for something vaguely resembling an early night for a change. Goodnight, Bsky!

So, I was on stand by to preach this morning and, as it turned out, was needed. Worked on it on and off last night and this morning and gets what I came up with. Seemed to go down well, especially the "Starter for ten" (a little teaser bit near the start of the service).

Sunday 27th September 26

Starter for 10 Get 2 people up to the front (preferably children) Tell them to both face to one side and explain we're going to try some trust falls. Clearly give instructions. To one: let yoursel...

No cheating. Share the last photo of the sky from your camera roll. Sunset over a meadow a few weeks ago.

The sun setting behind a thin layer of if clouds over a parched meadow with a line of trees along the horizon.

I just had a huge bowl of Weetos in chocolate milk if it makes you feel any better. 😅

I do not think you have any of a less of one than I do. Probably you have more, in fact, because you're working hard towards a dream goal. I'm mostly just drifting.

Life has been happening for a very long time now... 😝

The idea for this story is great, and in that ten years a lot has changed that means I can explore much more interesting things than originally planned, but ugh. Writing is consistently a deadend urge these days.

I've written 3 sentences of a story I started over a decade ago. But that's all. I don't have more in me right now.

So we know not to head to Plymouth for thick, cut wood then. 😝

Yeah, it's kinda unfortunate like that.

@katycawkwell.bsky.social Thank you for this wonderful experience last night. I'm sorry I didn't stop to tell you in person but I was still, genuinely, under your spell and did not want to (couldn't!) break it until we were well away from the theatre.

not because I think my writing is so important or profound, but just because I'm not contributing to the great ocean of story that is human consciousness and civilization, when I could be. I was inspired. Unfortunately, my issue is not inspiration so much as motivation, but I must overcome this!

I saw everything she conjured with her words and movements. It was magical and awoke something very human inside of me that I've left a bit buried for a while: the love of story and storytelling: my love of writing. I actually felt a bit guilty for not writing more by the end,

what this performance of female empowerment would be like. I'll be honest: I was spellbound. Being able to focus on one person taking for an hour and half is usually a titanic feat for me but she held my attention with ease and though I was always watching her,

We chose to go because learning about Lilith was one of the things that came from our series on women of the Bible when one of our group led a session on Eve. She's since almost become our mascot, representing the modern and progressive emerging from the ancient, so we were excited to see

Last night myself and a few folk from homegroup went to Street to see Lilith by Katy Cawkwell, a one-woman storytelling performance themed around the myths of Lilith and other mythical women of the ancient near east.

Also, using incorrect terminology isn't being grammatically incorrect, cos nouns in themselves do not constitute grammar, only the way they interact with others, in the same way that, on his own, he might be ok, who knows, but when he interacts he's a [insert preferred genital swearword here].
