having learned the trade all using English resources etc, this extends to more generally when conversing about technical subjects in German lol

I don't think the applied priors change that much to be honest, aside from now seeing superficial/redundant interactivity as an indicator for bad content. For the risk that come with sophistic interactivity all the usual arguments for AI generated content still apply.

pretty sure someone else has already thought about it, but couldn't we have something like colored functions for allocations instead of asynchronicity?

this is basically just Gregs justification for Rust for Linux lmao

Data centers, chip fabs and what not should be open to the public like churches

The same holds true for the microcosm of our interiors: living space is precious so furniture that takes up a lot room is rather scarce. The classic coffee table is something that does almost not exist here, and not only for cultural reasons

Maybe it's my own environment shaping my thinking here, but I see high rising buildings wherever I look and new ones in construction in perpetuity. Going high seems cheap, but spreading out not

seems like something that @chenoehart.bsky.social might have thought about before?

max @seoul.systems · 17/08/2026
when we think about the availability of space, we think usually about it in terms of how it is mainly restricted horizontally but not vertically. interestingly this applies both in the micro (furniture) and macro (buildings) contexts

love that he called computers "high technology"
Even when I work with computers, with high technology, I always try to put in the touch of the hand.

We need URLs everywhere for everything, the way we have GPS and calendars for location and time. I want to send links to passages in PDFs and to specific moments in a song I’m listening to. Everything should be shareable

Ah, of course. I was too concerned about possible differences on the system level that I failed to see the actual problem of Python having had no nothing like this even a couple of years ago lol

I think my answer to "why do you want to work here?" might boil down to "the work seems to require reading Man pages regularly"

Computers were never supposed to talk but now they do and we all have to figure out what that means, like wtf?!
