love that he called computers "high technology"
Even when I work with computers, with high technology, I always try to put in the touch of the hand.

I remembered our interaction while reading your recent blog post about Japanese grammar, and man if you could speak German you might love this textbook from my old university. It’s quite technical (and because of that not liked by many students) but it cleared much confusion around edge cases for me

I stumbled upon this quote from Italian mathematician Rota and was reminded of your tweet. The notion of creativity held in modern times seems related to the pressure we fill with regard to our age somehow
Quote from Italian mathematician Rota: “The idea of genius, elaborated by German romantics, is destructive; it is a night into fantasy. There is reason to believe we've killed classical music because of that idea. People think that they will be either geniuses like Beethoven or nothing. But look at the Baroque Age--there were hundreds of little Italians who wrote good music and didn't give a hoot about being creative.”

This somehow serves well as an articulation on why early versions of Midjourney felt so much more appealipng than their new counterparts
“We can see now how an unbridled lucidity can destroy our understanding of complex matters. Scrutinize closely the particulars of a comprehensive entity and their meaning is effaced, our conception of the entity is destroyed.”
