I agree with the concept that some rich folks do not pay their share. However, some exorbitant tax rates I've seen proposed on unrealized gains would force a major shareholder to sell stock to pay the tax, thus driving down the value of the shares for all investors in that stock.

Eisenhower is spinning in his grave. I'm 68, born 12 years post WWII. With the exception of a handful of years in my life, the US has been engaged in armed conflict. We failed to learn anything from Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

Obama had to deal with W's recession. Reducing performance to a single stat that has a varying basis (in this case, number of years in office.) is dangerous. Some sources show the mean of annual %s rather than the 4 or 8 year CPI adjusted change to the 1/4 or 1/8 power.

Thanks for the correction! I now realize that the OP's graph is adjusted for inflation unlike the STL Fed data. Real GDP growth under Biden adjusted for CPI is about 2.7%.
