I was signing papers at a local bank a few days ago and whipped out my tribal id. A fellow board member commented, “That’s a fancy driver’s license.” I said I would rather identify as a tribal citizen than American. I am so ashamed of the US government.

I think the era of Alaska GOP giving lip service to Alaska Natives is over.They see an opportunity to solidify their base. Landfield went after Sitka Tribe for their tribal id post. This was followed by MRA claiming Sitka Tribe gave out king crab with grant funds. That didn’t happen.

Part of my ADHD is noticing language patterns. MAGAs are have been embracing a slur for people with Down’s syndrome for the past year. It’s only a precursor for unabashedly throwing around racial slurs next, as part cosplaying a “tough” guy. Also trending is “dominance.”
