that one origin track where they get an electric guitar(?) to mimic the sound of maniacal cackling drives me insane to this day

Inktober 2026 Day 3 - Miniature quick lazy sketch since i was out of town today lol #LotR #Inktober2026

messy sketch of bag end from lord of the rings / the hobbit, stylised to look like a miniature diorama. a little gandalf is standing on the path outside the hobbit hole

country blokes slandering melburnians remains my favourite genre of aussie humour. the best i ever heard was smth to the effect of "they drive an hour out of the city and think they're in the bush, if they drove another hour they'd be in new zealand"

truly cannot wrap my head around how someone could park themselves in the same mega franchise, grow to hate it, and still refuse to expand their horizons. surely it's either that curiosity is too scary or the constant loathing is addictive. either way it's just such a sad existence

the "you ruined my childhood" manchild meltdown kinda gives the game away lol. peekaboo is ruined and number blocks went woke. maybe it's time for bub to grow up a little

A screenshot of a Reddit comment, which reads “Shit man, these Heroic Games are fucked. I just saw a kid stick his hand out, yell "Blackfire!" or some shit, and three dudes in front of him just got set alight and burned to ash. The camera didn't even zoom in and treat it like an actual battle exchange, that's how common this shit is. My ass is still using Combat Arts like Grounder and Fading Blow. I think I just saw the Queen of Saramis rip a massive chunk of earth out of the ground and throw it to obliterate some guy two tiles over, I gotta get the fuck outta here.”

frankly it should be illegal for a game to have ben starr in the voice cast but not have him singing on the soundtrack. that man has a set of pipes on him

there's something beautiful about the fact that teenagers are posting about their elite spotify playlist tech with the same fire and brimstone millennials have when virtue signalling about listening to albums (guilty). every generation thinks they have music figured out. that's fun

dw i'll be a prude with you. love that so many people have killed the part of them that cringes but if shame previously drove your etiquette and you've ripped out your shame you need to develop some actual social skills to fill that void. boundaries and consent are important!

i've heard this plenty but frankly i wouldn't have had as much fun seeing leda's route through for the unlocks than i would switching to a route with better access to the units i'm interested in and a story that sated my curiosity about the world and narrative more

gris singing amongst the stars 🌌

gris, from the game gris. she is a young woman in a long flowing dress and (usually) short blue hair floating in midair while singing and closing her eyes in deep focus. behind her is a rainbow of stardust and a path of constellations similar to the mechanic in game 🎨

in your opinion, is cai the intended intro route just on a gameplay level, or on a story level too? i keep hearing about him being a better intro to the game systems, but it's painfully hard to find people talking about the narrative flow of each path (especially on reddit, those poindexters)

with how eager i am to learn about the wider setting and how many of the characters i'm drawn to aren't recruitable or at some of the higher renown levels, i'm considering jumping over to... someone. idk who 😭
