Also, we had to do the stereotypical thing for the last game of the season… ice cream in a cap! (Actually my first time ever 👀) And a huge shoutout to @danisinphilly.bsky.social for inviting us out to celebrate his birthday! 🎉

@lotje.bsky.social we have returned home and received your card! ✨☀️✨ And it is actually a nice 60°F, so not to worry about the fall weather… it’s here!

Yesterday, we also dropped off at 12 different Little Free Libraries, starting in the last area we lived as my dad lived out his final days with Pancreatic Cancer at home with us, as well as near his high school age home neighborhood, near his high school, etc (Military family sev generations deep!)

Top left one is small with a white case and pink post, top right is 3 different boxes on one post featuring boxes for regular books, children's books, and one for young adult, middle left is dinosaur bone themed, middle right is cute and pink on a green saguaro cactus shaped post, bottom left is on a green brick post with lime green box and lemons painted on it, and bottom right is blue with mountains, alphabet, rainbow, and gnomes painted on it.

Yesterday marked 25 years since my dad's passing (pancreatic cancer), and he had a massive book collection we've been holding onto (mainly sci-fi, fantasy, thrillers, and lots of non-fiction). We've now begun the long process of dropping them off at various little free libraries in tribute 💜

Me holding books about to be placed in random goofy little free libraries, including one at an Outback Steakhouse and one in front of an Episcopal Church, which is church shaped.
