#Worldtober Day 7: Childhood Toy Honestly guys, I have no idea what to do. Having another bad day. Scribbled out a random scene - nothing particular, nothing special.

#Worldtober Day 6: Religious Statue This one is actually a bit of an inside joke with my partner who comments about a fake religion centered around a magical space weasel (who us now dubbed "His Great Wiggliness") with a name that's really not pronounced as anything close to English

#Worldtober Day 3: Currencies So this is had typing about for a while now and decided to draw out anything I could think of that could be considered a currency by various kinds of peoples.

030

Solstice @seasonalsade.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Worldtober day 3 is "Currency" and that could be SO many things... What is the currency of tribal peoples? How would they interact with a kingdom's currencies and trade? How does kingdom choose what their standard for a coin is? How do they choose what material to make their currency out of? Etc.

#Worldtober Day 2: Spell Jar Thinking about traditions for smaller towns and what they would do to invoke higher powers. Also getting me to think more on what kinds of magic could be used and their sources.

Been reading the book "Artpreneur" by Miriam Schulman which discusses the "starving artist mindset" and limiting beliefs. Ive realized my limiting belief is "My art isn't/will never be a stable form of income." Now I must learn how to combat that.

#Worldtober Day #1 Exotic Fungi Not as frilly or extravagant as I originally thought up, but still kinda fun. Its a mushroom that stacks on itself as it grows. Still brainstorming any alchemical or medicinal effects it could have.

So... I want to draw for an October challenge but none of tge prompt lists were all that compelling to me... until I found this one. #Wroldtober isnt a list of art prompts - they're prompts for world building. Still, with this I can doodle AND think on how it fits into a world.

Getting into bullet journalling, particularly to make something interactive and engaging for me to keep coming back to. Currently planning out December. I plan to just keep small journals that are 3 months at a time.

Token complaint that Starbucks has no maximum for how many orders can be placed to a store at a time, nor a maximum order size. Thanks for allowing 30+ orders to stack in less than 10 minutes, and allowing orders of 15+ items be placed during peak. 🙃 #Starbucks #Starbuckswtf

Feeling perpetually behind, holding it together and making art despite the state of the world. Taking a moment to put something a bit nicer in the feed tonight. I've always thought of owls as guardian type birds, what do you think? #watercolor #gouache #owls #birds

Watercolor and gouache painting of two owls perched on a tree on top of a mountain, the last light of sunset staining the sky with deep orange in the distance. A glowing rune stone with swirls sits near the tree, casting blue light on the tree and owls. Signed Katie Croonenberghs, 2021 www.kamakru.com

Support small coffee shops. Embrace other kinds of coffee. Learn to make coffee at home. Learn about other brands of coffee beans. Theres a lot you can do to still have a beverage you enjoy, and not buy Starbucks.

Their whole “we’re democratising art” “stop gatekeeping art” are very clearly bullshit when you see it’s always been about attacking artists, nothing more.

Instagram post Cara Needs Your Help!
Cara needs your help. We have been scraped a third time. This is now a targeted attack meant to cause artists pain.
Scrapers know we're a volunteer project with no financial means to take action. So they say it's legal, believing themselves untouchable.

Hey everyone. So while I was super excited to participate in artfight this year, I dont know if its in the cards for me. Lately I have been struggling with my health and have had to put all my focus on getting better. Unfortunately, I dont know if it will be before the month is over.

A simple drawing of a brown to-go coffee cup with a cream toned lod and sleeve. The cup is illuminated from the top right side, warm lightning providing an almost glowing effect.

We gotta normalize telling friends how much you appreciate them and care about them on the regular. I've been grieving the loss of multiple friends this year back to back. As tough as it's been the biggest learning lesson is just to do your best to reach out. ❤️
