finally finished #SpringOfTheBlade yesterday and honestly, what a complete mess it became for the last 6 eps especially 🫣 watch it if: you like messy chaotic plots with one-dimensional antagonists skip it if: you're interested for the romance

watching ep 39 of #AgainstTheCurrent and i'm lost, who is the girl on the left meant to be? lol i don't recognize her. also i feel like we've had like 4 timeskips in one episode!

"Where a wife doesn't have to obey her husband. She is simply herself." "There will be." Honestly, I sobbed more just because even tho this is fictional, there's just so much here that relates to a real history where women had no rights, were just property. we can never let history repeat itself.

"I've studied. But I still don't understand the rules of this world. Tell me, when will there ever be a world like that? Where girls, just like boys, can go to school, take the imperial exams, serve as officials, do business and earn their own money?" Powerful script. #AgainstTheCurrent

i love when i learn something from cdramas but i'm always in disbelief when it's something awful! to discover that men in the past were allowed to abuse their wives with no charges as long as they there was no "significant damage?" disgusting! #AgainstTheCurrent

quick question for anyone watching #SpringOfTheBlade: i guess yan rui doesn't really know fl's true objective yet? i figured they were on similar paths of vengeance but maybe not lol. maybe that's why he hasn't told shen che anything about her identity? (ep17)

ep 32 #AgainstTheCurrent: jfc this mother / aunt(?) is absolutely awful, wtf.. she treats her daughters like they're just cattle istg. image so important she'd rather have her family abused?! and all those women of the Lu family who just thought a man beating a woman is okay! get to hellll

ep 25 of #AgainstTheCurrent.. it's kind of sad how everyone struggled with having to accept the proposal.. but you know if he'd done it any other way she would have rejected him regardless... I kind of get the whole slap thing now LMAO

ep 23 of #AgainstTheCurrent omg, this was so sad!! i feel so bad for Ji Er! and then knowing how much Lanxiang wants to repay her and get her out of this situation... I feel like it's inevitable she probably can't but I'm holding out hope! 😭 the maid friendships are just the cutest 🥲

the physician in #AgainstTheCurrent diagnosing erysipelas but it seems like it's spreading as an epidemic??? yet from what i know it's not usually contagious lol so is he misdiagnosing? 👀 also i know it was pre-antibiotics but i wonder if the stuff he prescribes actually worked haha

just finished #AShopforKillersS2... i absolutely loved S1 but they butchered the heck out of S2. it had none of the excitement and mystery of S1 and just felt a bit like a typical action series in comparison. i appreciated the kr-jp cast ensemble but there was just something missing 😩
